[3rd POV]
Looking at Saitama, Wanda wondered why the Caped Baldy himself was in her shop. She didn't take him for a reader, as he usually went out to the market for things like sales and noodles and stuff like that. Not to book stores like hers.
Unless his protege had asked him to find some books for him.
She could tell just by looking at the man in front of her, that he was powerful. Incredibly so. She was confident that while the man was presently not as powerful as someone like Goku or Milim, all he would need to do is fight either of them for a few minutes and begin to get pushed, and he would rapidly begin to adapt and evolve.
That was his primary ability afterall. No matter how strong the opponent he faces is, he will eventually grow to surpass them, constantly becoming stronger, and the more strain and struggle he is under, the faster her begins to grow.
So if he was to fight someone like her, she could see him rapidly growing and surpassing anyone in Dragon Ball in no time.
And those punches of his were already likely brutal to get hit by, with even Goku being hurt from one. At least, that was her estimation just from gazing at him. She wasn't entirely sure, as he didn't have energy, and all of his power was physical, even if a lot of said powers broke several dozen laws of physics.
"...Cool store" Saitama said blandly, as he looked around. He noticed that the store was way bigger on the inside than it was on the outside. And he had noticed that the doorway he had entered was definitely not a normal one. But...
He didn't really care.
The place was pretty nice, and he noticed that they had a huge manga and comics section, with a ton of names that he had never seen before. He couldn't help but wonder how pricey they were.
He would buy more at home, but they were always too expensive, and he wanted more deals and cheap buys. Which is why he tended to buy his mana when they were on sale.
"Thanks, Saitama-San" Wanda responded with a smile on her face, as Saitama looked at her with a blink, tilting his head.
"You know me" He said matter of factly.
"I do. You're the Caped Baldy, right? You're a hero. And even if I did not know about your heroic deeds, I know everyone that enters my shop. Now, is there anything in particular you are looking for, or are you just going to browse?" Wanda asked, wondering what he was really here for. She could use mind reading, but that would be boring.
"How much are your manga?" Saitama asked, glancing over them all.
"200 yen for the smaller ones, with the most expensive ones being 800 yen. While for the comics it ranges from 500 yen to 1000 yen" Wanda responded, as the man looked at her and then to the manga and comic section.
That was way cheaper than his local stores back home. And not only was it way cheaper, but the selection was larger, and they looked way more interesting to him too. The ones that he instantly zoned in on were Hunter X Hunter, Mob Pyscho, and Love is War.
The last of them was a bit surprising to her, considering it was a romance manga, but at least it was a good romance manga and wasn't something like...Rent a Girlfriend.
Wanda cringed even thinking about that garbage. It was her least favorite romance manga she had ever read, and that was saying a lot because she has read a lot of romance manga's.
Mostly yuri ones though.
"Cheap..." Saitama muttered, gazing at all the manga's and then at his pocket, inwardly contemplating how much he had left, before deciding that he had enough money to buy a few.
"I price them based on what I believe they are worth. And I don't think manga should be expensive, so that everyone can enjoy them like I do" Wanda said after hearing his words, a small smile on her face as she watched the man move over to the section.
He crouched down, his bald head shining brighter as he looked over the selection. He grabbed the first and second volume of Hunter x Hunter, which came out to like 600 yen. And then moved to grab a volume of Mob Psycho, and finally three volumes of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War. The total cost of all the mangas that he had grabbed would be less than 2000 yen, so around 11 to 12 dollars.
Incredibly cheap, but Wanda thought it was fair, so it remained that way.
"You know Saitama, I have to ask. What is it like?" Wanda said, as the man was browsing some of the comics as well. He hadn't really read comics before, so he was curious what they were like. He was currently looking over the comics on Superman.
"What is what like?" Saitama asked with a tilt of his head.
"Never having someone survive more than one of your punches. To be the "One Punch Man". It's gotta be boring, right?" Wanda asked, as the man looked at her in slight surprise, not expecting for her to know this sort of thing about him.
A normal person would be alarmed that someone they have never met could know a secret about them that they hadn't really told anyone. But Saitama was very very far from a normal person, and he just shrugged.
"Boring. Very boring. All the fights are dull. Never any enjoyment from them" Saitama responded, as he decided to take the comic he grabbed that was on the origins of Superman, and also grabbed a comic on the origins of Thor.
"And what if you could find someone that you could spar with, someone that could actually handle one of your punches and survive? What would you do then?" Wanda asked, staring at the man as she already knew Milim would love to spar with him.
And she had a feeling the man would love to spar with her in return. She thought it could be fun either way, as Saitama got up to a lot of goofy shenanigans, and might bring some fun to their lives. Even if it is chaotically random fun that they never know what is going to happen next.
Hearing her question, Saitama stared at her for a few moments, wondering if she was genuinely asking him that question. But upon seeing the serious look on her face, he realized that she was genuinely asking. So, he decided to answer.
"I'd do anything to fight them. To find someone that can fight me on even grounds. To enjoy the thrill of a genuine fight for once" Saitama responded seriously, wondering if the woman in front of him holds the key to finding someone that could survive a punch from him.
"Hmm, how about this. If you bring me a few books that I don't have in my collection from your world, I'll introduce you to someone that can give you a proper fight. Someone who can easily survive your punches and dish out her own punches that his just as hard, if not harder" Wanda offered, a small smirk on her face upon seeing the look on his face.
A look of excitement.
He hadn't had a proper fight in...well, since he had lost his hair. And quite frankly, he was losing his mind looking for one. Because the closest fight he would have would be against Garou when he was at his peak, but that wouldn't be coming for a while.
Meaning he had still not met a proper foe.
Perhaps Boros was decent, but he could barely take a few punches, and only really survived because he has powerful regenerative capabilities and a good bit of durability. His punches didn't do jack shit against him, so he didn't count, not truly.
"...Deal" Saitama said without much hesitation, the idea of fighting against someone comparable to him was just too much for him to pass up on.
"This isn't a scam, right?" Saitama added as Wanda chuckled.
"No, Saitama, this is not a scam, I promise. Now, is that all, or would you like to geta something from the bakery?" Wanda asked, as the man looked up at the prices before nodding.
"I'll get a blueberry muffin and a chocolate cookie to go" Saitama said simply, as he brought out the money and handed it to her, while the two bakery goods floated in behind her, the man ignored it as he took them and placed his new comics and manga in the bag and began to walk away.
"I'll be back in a few days" Saitama said simply, as he left the shop, leaving Wanda alone, one thought on her mind.
'...This'll be interesting~'
