The curtains in the room were drawn, making the light appear dim.
Edward Stephens placed her on the bed, looking at her pale face, feeling a bit uneasy. He reached out to brush her cheek, speaking softly, "I'll order some takeout for you."
Daisy Ginger said quietly, "I'm not really hungry."
It was true she had no appetite, her mind in turmoil. Under so much pressure, she felt the urge to escape.
"I'm hungry too." The man said steadily, "I haven't eaten anything since this morning. Let's eat something together."
With him saying that, Daisy couldn't refuse any longer, so she agreed.
Edward went out to call a nearby restaurant and ordered a seafood noodle for Daisy, instructing the owner to send it over quickly. Then, after hesitating for a moment, he called Ryan Smith.
The call was picked up quickly.
Ryan's voice sounded anxious and flustered, "Edward, did you see the news? A young actor from Royal Entertainment died, and Daisy she..."
