She quickly took out her phone and dialed the kindergarten principal's number.
"Hello, I am Alexander's mom, sorry to bother you late at night..." Sophie's voice was a mix of urgency and remorse, "I forgot to pick up Alexander today. Is he at your place now?"
"Oh, Miss Smith, you don't need to worry, Alexander was picked up today by someone."
