Upon hearing this, Wyatt Sterling's expression softened slightly, yet he remained calm. He took a sip of his coffee and then refocused his gaze on her.
"A lifetime is so long, isn't it a bit too early to say such things?"
Sophie Smith couldn't understand why Wyatt Sterling insisted on lingering on the topic of Asher Land with her. Several times she attempted to change the subject, only to be drawn back by him.
"Loving someone isn't as simple as you think." She took a deep breath from the bottom of her heart before speaking the next words, "I'm not crazy, how could I fall in love with a man who fantasizes about imprisoning and tormenting himself?"
It was her first time being so candid about her feelings in front of someone, and after she spoke, she felt a hint of regret; how could she share such deeply buried emotions so freely?
