"Alright, I'll have Robert come to the office to pick you up at noon."
"What do you want to do? I..."
Before she could finish, Boss Land hung up the phone.
"Can't he just talk things over properly?" Sophie Smith tossed her phone into her bag, not knowing what he really wanted.
Around noon, before Sophie had a chance to eat, Robert found her.
"Miss Smith, President Land is waiting for you."
So what if he is waiting? She still needs to finish her meal first. It's not like it's a big deal, can't it wait until she's full?
Robert didn't know what to do, after all, it was Sophie that his big boss was waiting for, and he couldn't afford to offend her.
With no other choice, he stepped aside and called Asher Land.
"President Land, Miss Smith hasn't finished her meal yet. She said she'll come see you after eating." Robert reported truthfully.
"Let her eat."
"But your flight is at one in the afternoon, I'm afraid you won't have enough time."
"Just reschedule it."
"Oh, okay."
