Lenore is aware of his presence before she's even fully awake. She feels... better than she did the night before. A lot better than she did during the trip back to Barrowmere. However, she still doesn't feel like she did before leaving for the capital.
Recovery, she knows, is a long road. And knowing that doesn't mean she has to like it.
Well, at least her mind isn't as foggy as it was last night. It's not clear necessarily, but she no longer feels like she's fighting to pull her thoughts to the surface as if they're all hidden underwater. The world moves sluggishly around her and lights are brighter than they should be. Sounds are louder than they should be.
And that includes the steady breathing of Alaric.
