Episode 52 – A New Kind of Trouble
Peace may have returned, but drama never left.
---
Morning Assembly – Shadowbound High
Principal Graves stood before the students with his usual stoic expression.
"Now that the school has resumed operations," he began, "we expect all students to follow regulations. That includes: no summoning demons in the bathrooms, no time-freezing in the hallways, and definitely no love spells on teachers."
A collective groan and laughter rippled through the crowd.
Tunde whispered to Rhea, "See? I told you it wasn't me! It was Felix who froze the hallway."
Rhea raised an eyebrow. "You literally walked around with a sign that said 'I paused time to skip History.'"
"Allegedly."

Later in Class…
Kael sat by the window, watching birds flap across the sky. He wore glasses now. Not because he needed them—just because Lana said he looked "nerd-hot."
Speaking of which…
Lana entered late—hair up, wearing Kael's jacket. She tossed her bag down next to him.
"Missed me?"
Kael smiled. "Always."
But their moment was interrupted by a strange announcement:
> "Kael, Lana, Rhea, Tunde, Felix… please report to the Guidance Room."
---
Guidance Room – That's Definitely Not a Guidance Room
The "room" was now glowing with magical runes. In the center stood Mistress Yura—a cosmic seer who had helped seal the Gate of Pythros.
"I thought she disappeared after the battle," whispered Felix.
Mistress Yura turned, her silver eyes flashing. "Peace is fragile. And darkness… always prepares."
She opened her palm, revealing a shattered black shard.
"This was left behind by the last Primorati. It's… mutating. And it's infecting magic across realms. If not dealt with, your world may become… a beacon for darker beings."
Kael clenched his fists. "We just sealed one gate."
Yura nodded. "You'll have to close another."

Schoolyard Antics
Meanwhile, Tunde was still trying to get Rhea to laugh. He brought her a gift—a wand made entirely of snacks. Chocolate handle. Gummy runes. Sprinkles on the tip.
Rhea stared blankly at him.
"I call it the Sweet Scepter of Summoning," he grinned.
She finally cracked a smile. "That's… actually adorable."
"Wait, did you say adorable?"
"I mean dumb," she added quickly.
Too late. Tunde was already dancing in victory.

Nighttime – Kael and Lana's Balcony Scene
The moonlight spilled over Lana's skin as she stood barefoot on the balcony, gazing out at the peaceful city.
Kael wrapped his arms around her from behind.
"We can have this, right?" Lana asked quietly. "Even with darkness coming back?"
Kael nodded. "Even more reason to protect it."
They kissed—soft and deep—like people who had nearly lost everything but now held on tighter.

Elsewhere…
The black shard pulsed alone in a cave.
From its cracks, whispers spilled out.
> "He has awakened… the golden beast… the sword of Velmorth… must break…"
Suddenly, a monstrous hand reached out and touched the shard—and from it, a new evil was born.
One with no name… and no fear of gods.
