"Leo, what's wrong with you? Why don't you pay for their living expenses after getting back with Zoey and the twins?" Iris questioned Leo sternly, holding Kayla tightly in her arms.
Leo's expression was serious. Kayla's words were painful and made his heart heavy. What did his daughter go through in the past few years for her to say that at such a young age?
"Mom, I'm sorry. It's my fault this time," Leo said.
Zoey felt that they were taking it the wrong way. She rubbed her temples and cleared her throat. "Iris, please don't misunderstand. Kayla just thinks that it's tough for me to take care of the kids alone. So, when my father's friends come to visit them every new year, they would give me everything they got as gifts. They just wanted to make it easier for me. But I didn't feel that it's too tough at all. Instead, it's a great sense of accomplishment to have raised them well."
