She could feel that Leo was being very sincere when he said those words. Big families like the Yanceys greatly valued bloodlines. So, she didn't expect him to give her such a promise so casually.
Even in a rapidly developing city like Onaton, most families would not accept the children taking the wife's surname, which was quite an unconventional thing to do. Especially for a family like the Yancey's, it was even less likely that they would accept it.
