"Quit fussing and eat your breakfast."
When the kiss finally ended, Claire wriggled out of Gilbert's arms, puffing her cheeks in irritation as she glared at him.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong."
Watching her flare up, Gilbert immediately admitted fault like an obedient schoolboy. "But I can't eat breakfast right now. I only want you."
"You…"
Claire shot to her feet, ready to leave.
"Claire, don't go. I'll eat properly."
Gilbert caught her hand with perfect accuracy, his face full of surrender.
Claire glared at him.
The man straightened up in his seat, wearing an expression that screamed I'm being good.
After a moment of thought, Claire sat back down. "If you don't eat properly this time, then you can stay hungry."
"I will. I'll be good," Gilbert nodded vigorously.
Claire resumed feeding him. This time, he cooperated like a model patient, and soon enough, breakfast was gone.
