After dinner, Gilbert wanted to play with the two little ones to bond and build some fatherly affection.
But the kids gave him a cold snort and shot him a disdainful look before each taking a side of Claire, bouncing and chattering as they made their way to the living room.
Rejected, Gilbert awkwardly sat down on the couch and crossed his legs.
"Mommy, let's play a game!" Dean said cheerfully, holding a stack of colorful stickers.
"What game do you want to play?" Claire smiled, unable to resist his enthusiasm, and gently touched his little cheek.
Lately, Dean had become fond of playing games. It had made a noticeable difference in his personality.He smiled more, and that was something Claire was truly happy to see.
"I want to play the sticker game," Dean said, waving the stickers in the air.
"Forget it," Adam sighed beside him, shaking his head. "This game needs Daddy to join."
