The air was really heavy on them. It was full of smoke and memories. Peoples boots were scraping against stones in a slow and steady pace. It was like they were doing some kind of ceremony. The battlefield seemed to be keeping time with them like it was waiting for something to happen. The smoke and the memories were around making everything feel pretty solemn. The sound of boots, on stone just kept going like a beat that would not stop.
Captain Johny broke the quiet looking over at Leon as he wiped the sweat and ash from his brow. Captain Johnys voice was really rough it sounded like it had been scraped raw from all the smoke and shouting. Captain Johny said "I never thought I would love to see a sunrise much after a night, like that."
