After the Killing
The night was still burning.
Smoke was rolling across the courtyard that was all broken. It was thick. Moving all the time going through the pillars that were broken and the stone that had fallen down. It was, like something was alive and looking for something. The air was hot. It felt heavy like you could taste it. It had a smell, like the earth was burned and the iron was melted. The ground was making noises like it was breathing. It was. Cracking and shaking under the weight of what had happened here. The world did not know what to do it was like it was trying to decide if it should keep going or just give up. Smoke was still rolling across the courtyard it was like it was waiting to see what would happen next. The ground was still trembling, like it was scared of what had been unleashed like the smoke.
Leon really came down hard on that. Leon was very tough when Leon came down hard like that.
