He lifted his hand a little. It was a very careful move, like when it is quiet before a big storm. His fingers moved through the air at night like they were drawing a line that you could not see. The way he moved his hand was smooth. There was something sharp about it too so sharp that the air around him seemed to get a little scared and it bent away, from the power that was building up around him. His hand was still. The night air was still reacting to the force that was coming from him.
