Natty did not flinch.
She had heard Natasha say things like that before things that were wild and brutal and said without thinking.. Every time Natasha said things like that she could see the truth behind the mean words and the anger. It was not because Natasha was a person. It was because Natasha loved her and she loved with a love that was strong and out of control. This love was, like a fire that burned hot and could hurt everything around it. Natashas love was fierce and reckless. It burned so hot that it could hurt the whole world.
Natty on the hand felt like it was winter. The special something that Natty once had was gone, buried under all the times things did not work out and all the quiet nights where nothing was different no matter how much Natty wished that things would be different.
