Chapter 561 - Chapter 561: The First King, the God of War!

Chapter 561: The First King, the God of War!

The battle between the two raged on for an unknown length of time.

After all, they were in outer space now. There was no day or night, no sunrise to mark a beginning, no sunset to signal an end.

And at their level, time itself had long stopped being the deciding factor.

By this point, the Black Continent had already drifted terrifyingly close to Blue Sea.

Its sheer mass twisted gravity, and the seas below began to change.

The original continents were swallowed by surging tides.

The uneven pull of gravity tore at the ocean floor, splitting landmasses apart. Earthquakes and tsunamis erupted, one after another, as if the world itself was being shaken awake in panic.

Natural disasters struck so often it felt like the sea had lost its rhythm.

At that moment, Mio and Rin also began to respond.

Only now did they finally understand why Lord Joy Boy had gone to battle without bringing them along.

He had left them here so they could protect this sea properly.

"Lord Joy Boy… will everything be all right?" Rin asked, worry leaking into her voice.

She had just finished directing the Sea Kings to smash apart a monstrous tsunami, but her eyes still kept drifting upward, toward the sky that felt too far away.

Mio looked toward the horizon, then back toward the sea filled with fleeing ships and terrified cries.

"At least as long as we're still here," she said softly, "Lord Joy Boy won't be in trouble."

"As long as we're still here, he won't die."

After she spoke, she turned and continued helping the disaster victims, moving with calm efficiency as if she could not afford to hesitate.

And it was precisely because of this that the names of the Three Kings began spreading across the seas.

Uranus, the King of Gods.

Poseidon, the King of the Sea.

Pluton, the god of the underworld.

In the eyes of the people of the world, those three names gradually became faith itself.

But high above, the battle in the void still had not stopped.

"Adam," Joy Boy said, his voice steady even as space trembled around them, "if you show yourself, Lilith won't show up, right?"

"But if you die, I think she might come."

His eyes narrowed, sharp as a blade.

"So… you've had enough fun."

"May I ask you to die now?"

The moment he finished speaking, chains began to surface across his body.

They were not metal.

They were not rope.

They were something deeper, something that made even the void feel tight.

As those chains appeared, a trace of humanity flickered across Adam's face.

For the first time, it looked like he understood fear.

It should have been impossible.

Adam, whether that name belonged to him or was given by others, was the Son of God.

He should not have worn a human expression.

Yet he did.

"Chains of rules…" Adam blurted out after a brief shock.

He was right.

Those were chains born from rules themselves.

They had another name.

The God Slaying Chain.

It was not a fancy title chosen for drama.

Those chains truly could kill gods.

Splash splash splash…

Adam's response was only attack.

But countless chains of rules, transcending time and space, snapped into existence and wrapped around him instantly.

"No… we can't let Lilith come here!" Adam snarled, the first real crack in his cold tone.

"You bastard, you actually…"

"So you figured out my purpose?" Joy Boy asked, almost amused.

"Too bad."

"Realizing it now is far too late."

He reached out and seized the chains in front of him.

Then, with a brutal pull, a terrifying force surged through them.

Adam's body was strangled into ruin.

Golden blood scattered into the universe like shattered sunlight.

For a moment, it seemed finished.

But then Joy Boy's expression shifted.

Adam did not die.

Joy Boy's gaze slid toward the Black Continent.

"This continent…" he said quietly. "Interesting."

Smack.

Joy Boy pressed his hands together, palms meeting in a prayer like stance.

"Chains of Rules, Universe."

In an instant, thick chains appeared across the dark sky itself.

They expanded outward and wrapped around the entire Black Continent.

As the Black Continent was bound, a smile slowly rose on Joy Boy's lips.

"Son of God, die."

"Your essence… I accept it."

He reached forward with both hands and seized the space in front of him as if it were something solid.

The pitch black continent compressed violently, crushed into a massive sphere.

A black moon.

"Are they here?" Joy Boy murmured.

Before he could act further, another overwhelming aura surged from the distance.

He turned.

A white continent appeared.

"Just as I thought," Joy Boy said, eyes gleaming. "Lilith has appeared."

"Then let me witness Lilith's power."

"Hopefully we don't push Adam too hard, or I'll really have a headache later."

With that sarcastic remark, he rushed toward the White Continent.

The battle that followed was similar to Adam's.

Fierce.

Violent.

But the outcome was never in doubt.

Joy Boy won without suspense.

Under the God Slaying Chains, the white continent was compressed as well.

A white moon.

Now, the white moon and the black moon drifted close, converging at the same time.

"So this is how God is born?" Joy Boy said, his tone heavy.

Then he released the chains of rules.

In an instant, Lilith within the white moon and Adam within the black moon awakened.

The moment they sensed each other, they attacked.

Compared to Joy Boy, their actions were driven by something ingrained, something absolute.

A black moon and a white moon could not exist together.

Once they met, only one could survive.

What followed was the battle Ryuunosuke had already seen.

During their clash, Infinity Stones appeared one after another, forming through their collision.

"…So this is the origin of God?" Joy Boy muttered.

He caught a crystal floating nearby, felt the energy thrumming inside it, and his expression turned serious.

Then, with a sharp motion, he crushed it into pure energy and absorbed it into his body.

"Mm?"

His brows drew together.

"The rules… are loosening."

"This thing…"

It was only one Infinity Stone.

Yet it could loosen the rules inside him.

What if there were more?

The answer was obvious.

This was the key.

The thing that could open the Gate of Eternity.

As long as those two either died together or survived together after their battle, Joy Boy would achieve his goal.

He would open the Gate of Eternity.

"The Seal of the Earth!"

"Void Deprivation!"

Suddenly, two terrifying attacks locked onto Blue Sea.

Joy Boy's eyes widened.

"Oh no!"

In that instant, he shot downward toward Blue Sea without hesitation.

The Gate of Eternity no longer mattered.

If he could not stop what was happening below, everything he had done would become meaningless.

Panicking?

Adam appeared in front of him.

And for the first time, a sly look crept onto Adam's face.

As if he had been waiting for this.

"Are you all acting?" Joy Boy snapped, his voice cold.

"I knew it."

"Lilith came too fast."

"So you planned this all along, didn't you?"

He reached out and grabbed Adam.

His hand closed on Adam's ribs and tore them out.

Then he kicked Adam's head, shattering him into pieces.

Still holding the rib, Joy Boy plunged straight toward the sea.

"And then what?" Ryuunosuke blurted out.

He had been listening so intently that the sudden pause felt like someone had cut a rope inside his chest.

The First Generation had stopped mid story, right when it was about to hit something truly core.

Ryuunosuke's fingers twitched.

His patience, for once, was the one taking damage.

"This… you can't just stop there."
