While the car moved out of Idris' compound, and towards the direction of my house, I was seething with anger. I could not stop thinking about Idris having an affair with Nicole, and blaming myself for trusting them so blindly.
What if the triplets aren't mine?
The thought suddenly came to me, and with the thought, my heart skipped a beat. I had trusted so blindly, and hadn't thought of a DNA test to know if they were really mine, and little surprise, Idris had not suggested it to me.
I should have suspected them when Idris would take Nicole's side over mine, and would go out of his way just to please her. Did he not get her a bouquet after the birth of the triplets? All this time Idris talked about having a girlfriend, it was Nicole, and not Cathy.
I felt angry and sad at the same time but most of all I felt betrayed. Betrayed beyond the ability to ever trust again but first, I will request for a DNA test to be done on all three children once I get home.
