Now that I have stupidly said what I shouldn't, how will I get out of it without causing any more problems. Nicole was staring at me, waiting for an explanation, and I didn't know what to say.
"He's seeing someone, and only told me today." I said convincingly, and secretly applauded myself for coming up with something at least. Hopefully what was left now was for Nicole to believe. And she did.
"He's seeing Cathy." She said innocently but I couldn't tell if she was genuine or faking it anymore. This is bad, I decided in my head. Everything she does now becomes suspicious, and there is no way I could be at peace with her or with myself.
"For how long have you known?" I couldn't help but ask even though asking will make me look jealous. Well I was jealous of many things, and Idris' supposed relationship seemed to be the only one I can express.
