I finally got to meet the bitch after over seven years, and aside from the ugly memories her presence stirred, it was nice to see her again and get her arrested for all that she did all those many years ago.
She was still as pretty as she was, or maybe more pretty but she lacked the charm she used to have, and the innocence which was her strongest weapon of deceit.
I was tempted to think that she had been working for my parents but I couldn't. My parents may have neglected me for years, but they wouldn't lift a finger to cause another's downfall let alone mine. Maybe it was fate, working together with karma that brought Vanessa to me, and God, I will deal with her.
"You're thinking about her again aren't you?" Nicole asked, throwing me off my thoughts. She was looking at me with so much concern. Too much concern, and I wasn't sure I liked it.
