There are four clans in Northguard City.
The Clan with No Name who became extinct with the death of their leader.
The Clan of Alpha who are the King of Northguard City is from and they are the most wealthy, royal, and corrupted of the clans.
The Clan of Destiny who are underground, working endlessly to find a solution for all their problems and they are the smartest and most manipulative.
And the Clan X, the warriors of Northguard City, the protectors of Northguard City. The head of Clan X becomes the Ghost of Northguard City, the silent protector, the night's guardian.
This time however the politics in Northguard City flipped when King Vladimir changed the constitution of the city. Anyone from any clan can become King as long as they can kill the King. This new rule was also accompanied by a dangerous mission to the Land Beneath.
In a forest where the trees grew as tall as mountains and vines drooped low and the rain was pouring heavily.
"Look! Look, sire! We found a water source!" said a knight.
The knights had an X on their steel armor with chainmail vests and sleeves representing their clan and the letter X meant unpredictability. It was a variable that was the perfect weapon.
Vladimir looked at the knight with his deep old eyes. His grey hair swayed to the harsh winds of the rain and his eyes reflected off the moonlight.
Vladimir followed the knight and then…A sword passed through his chest. Blood started flowing as Vladimir chuckled and accepted his fate. It was his rule after all. He made it. He died from it.
The rest of the knights started panicking and took the assassin as captive and returned to Northguard City.
In the Court of Northguard City at the center of the city.
A black palace stood mighty on top of a raised platform as from the balcony of the palace one could see the entire city. The palace was built with black marble and stones found only in Northguard City. This palace was called Judgement Palace. It had around twenty rooms where everyday fifty meetings of the highest order would be held. Today at the main room, the meeting to discuss the aftermath of the assasination would be commenced.
The aftermath was brutal. Murders and crime rates increased tenfold.
Leaders from the three clans were going to meet to discuss as the Tragedy Triad.
Aldarian, The King of Clan Alpha.
Deoxys, The King of Clan Destiny.
And with Vladimir dead, the representative of Clan X was none other than Xeno Xyrus.
The Day after Vladimir's funeral.
Rain shattered on the rooftops like if the Earth was crying. The moon gracefully rose above the empty sky. Vladimir was not a great leader but he was a leader nonetheless and Xeno was sleeping in his battle outfit peacefully at nighttime.
That was until noises started to be heard from outside his mansion. He quickly got up and grabbed his blade. Ever since the assasination of Vladimir he could never be sure of who would be next. As he stepped outside the cold and damp balcony he saw multiple flares being burnt outside his house.
As Xeno saw the men burning the red flares, he quickly jumped down the balcony and summoned multiple avatars to fight off the goons. His swordsmanship was quick and elegant as he fought off four sorcerers throwing magic bombs and enhancing their body with horrific purple scientific enhancements.
His avatars would not prove to be sufficient as more men surrounded Xeno's home.
Why were they after him? What was going on? These were questions that were left unanswered in Xeno's mind.
A knife suddenly was thrown down into the battlefield.
"Under Section A, Laws of Human Rights Number 17 states that Body Enhancement with the use of the energy from the Gravity Core is illegal and can lead to direct removal of said enhancement plus jail time in the Time Capsule," said a man on top of a rooftop.
In terms of looks he looked like a younger version of Xeno but instead of the wet and droopy hair that Xeno had, this man's hair was puffed up and pulled forward with his entire forehead being visible.
A giant man with multiple enhancements including a robotic face with multiple syringes and pipes going into his back filled with purple liquid walked into the scene outside Xeno's house. The surroundings were a blend of plain and empty greenery with clusters of houses and alleyways outside his royal compartment.
"You…Corrupt sorcerers, you don't let us live in peace, you don't let us get stronger in peace! Selfish bastards, all of you!" screamed the man.
The people in Northguard City were split into five different categories. All the sorcerer families were split into the four clans, Alpha, X, No name, and Destiny. Yet, the fifth group and the group that occupies the mines and the underground of Northguard City was none other than the non-sorcerers.
The city was split into three separate sections. First there were different colonies on the surface of the floating island where one of the four clans governed a specific colony. And each clan had four colonies and each colony was led by one Lord. Xeno was the Lord of the Shambusha Colony to the north-west side of Northguard City.
Then there was the Underground, this was where the slaves, the non-sorcerers and most of the illegal business of the city happens. The King before Vladimir tried to fix the problems of the people in the Underground before he died which intensified the clashes between the non-sorcerers and sorcerers even more.
At last there was the Gravity Core at the center of the floating Island. No one knows where it came from or how it came to be, but it was a source of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed right? Yet this was a direct contradiction of this as it continuously let out Gravitational Energy pushing the island higher and higher up.
"Debara, we can talk through this," said Xeno.
The man on the rooftop teleported and switched positions with the blade he threw on the ground. His name was Xander Xyrus, the younger brother of Xeno Xyrus.
"We aren't going to talk brother! These are filthy non-sorcerers intruding Shambusha!" said Xander with rage in his eyes.
"Your king fell…He died. There is no fairness in this city anymore. All that is left is…War to see who rules Northguard City," said Debara.
Xander teleported behind Debara and slashed two of the purple pipes and shattered the machine on his back that connected all of his machinery. As Debara fell down gasping for air, sparks started to come from his neck as all the goons jumped towards Xander for one last attack.
"Xander! No! He's not Debara, it's a trap!" screamed Xeno.
It was too late, Xander was distracted by the goons as Xander's fake body exploded creating a massive crater outside Xeno's house. Blood splattered on Xeno's face as his avatars subconsciously created a wall to protect him.
Multiple armed soldiers appeared soon after the incident as Xeno stood there without moving at all. His ears and hair were messed up with the harsh rain and winds and his eyes lost all sense of light.
They escorted Xeno to the Black Palace.
From Clan Destiny, the leader was Zezula Wyra, an old lady with wrinkly skin, a horrendous posture and held a magical wooden stick and was short with a purple hat on top.
From Clan Alpha, the leader was Sammoth Sora, a giant man whose muscles were like armor and had a blade that could cut humans and beasts like butter. He wore an all black armor set as he sat on his respective chair.
From Clan X, the emergency representative was Xeno Xyrus.
The meeting room was huge with three black thrones with spikes put in the room to form a triangle with any evidence or witnesses to be in the center of the room.
After the meeting.
Xeno walked outside the meeting with a grim face on. His bodyguards safely escorted him onto a flying ship and took him back to Shambusha. His current gang he was close with was Zyke, Suma, Oli, and the late Xander. Before all of them he had one best friend.
The one who killed a wild soul beast for him in the colosseum.
The one who murdered his father's murderer at the age of eight.
The one who was there for him at all times like a silent guardian.
His best friend. The result of the meeting was that there would be a war and conflict to respect Vladimir's new constitutional law. This city was going to be in riots for the next month to decide the king.
And while others recruited armies, Xeno recruited one man. Maximilian Xu. His best friend.
