"You two did really good, way better than I thought it would be," Daniel said in a calm but serious tone.
For a moment the two girls were stunned. They had braced themselves for all kinds of comments: pointing out their current weaknesses, how they could improve them, and so on…
But what did they just hear?
"You heard right. Your performance was good. It's clear you really gave it everything you had," Daniel noticed their disbelief and let out a small laugh.
Was he really such a bad teacher? As far as he could remember, he had always treated them with kindness and gentleness. And yet, apparently that hadn't been enough.
Maybe it was his own fault for spoiling these girls too much.
"Was our work really good? So we don't have any noticeable weaknesses anymore?" Alice still couldn't believe it.
"Your work was very good. There are no obvious weaknesses worth pointing out. It's clear you trained extremely hard this whole time and went through a lot of battles."
