"There are rules you don't understand, kid," Velmiran said with a smirk. "As long as I wasn't harming the faith, the Prophet couldn't act."

"You filthy human, I never planned to destroy Eternity Faith. I wanted to take it over. But your arrival ruined everything," the Noble Demon growled after a moment of silence.
"So all this slaughter and the deaths of innocents are your fault. Your gods won't forgive you."
But to Velmiran's surprise, Daniel only laughed—a deep, honest laugh that made the demon frown.
"What's so funny? Are you going crazy from fear?"
"No. I'm just laughing at the fact that you think I'd feel guilty just because I'm human. That doesn't work on me." He drew his sword and pointed it at him.
