Late into the journey, Penelope had fallen asleep and unbeknownst to her, Tyrion had switched seats so Penelope could rest her head on his shoulder.
"Does my wife truly love it here?" Tyrion asked, using the time to speak with Matilda.
"She does. The lady has many friends here who write to her when she is in Lockwood. There is a different tone to this town compared to Lockwood, but there are still dangers," Matilda said, hoping the guards wouldn't be too relaxed.
"Since you have been by her side since you were a young girl, then you have lived here just as much as Penelope has."
"I have, Your Highness. I have enjoyed the time the Collinses allowed me to be on their estate here. It is quite wonderful and certainly a lot more peaceful than Lockwood. It is why the lady enjoys being here," Matilda said, glancing at the sleeping lady in question.
"Then, I should stay here forever with her," Tyrion decided.
