This was the part Gabriel was looking forward to throughout their exchange, but he still kept his excitement masked under his calm exterior.
In truth, he was very pleased. Not only had he gotten himself a powerful ally, but now he was about to receive a reward. By reaching Floor One Hundred, he had killed two birds with one stone.
Under his watchful eyes, the vampire queen waved her hand, and a small silver ring appeared in her grasp.
He narrowed his eyes. The silvery ring had runic engravings etched on it. He stared for a long time, trying to decrypt it, but it was to no avail.
In the end, he simply gave up.
The queen smirked.
"Thought you would keep on trying."
She flicked the ring toward him.
He caught it effortlessly, then looked at it closely, eyes narrowed in concentration.
It was easy to tell that this was his reward, but what it actually did was something he was still trying to figure out.
