While fighting Scarlet, Jack noticed that Aria had found herself in a troublesome position.
His eyes sharpened. "I have to do something real quick; if not, I'll have to do a lot of explaining to the guild leader."
Thinking this, and without hesitation, he outstretched his free arm, aiming in her direction.
BOOM! The fierce sound of thunder shook the battlefield as a golden beam of lightning shot from Jack's fingers. It streaked through the air, smashing right in between Aria, Alice, Anna, and Sophie.
The shockwaves from the attack sent the four girls flying back like broken kites. When the smoke cleared, a deep crater had appeared at the spot where the lightning landed.
"Cough! Cough!" Sophie coughed as she struggled to stand, her veil torn and barely covering her face.
Fortunately, she had anticipated something like this happening and had several spares stocked in her inventory.
