The rain fell in a thick, grey curtain over the expansive rooftop where a dozen figures stood facing each other.

The atmosphere shifted palpably as a pair of blood-red eyes, bright as a blood moon, ignited.

"Hmph!" Hanzo snorted, turning to Black Zetsu. "I never imagined you were secretly colluding with Danzō."

"And you've even hooked up with the Blood Mist clan, whose dōjutsu is said to rival the Uchiha's Sharingan, exiled by the Land of Lightning's Daimyō."

"It seems you came prepared. If I refuse, I won't be leaving this place."

His words hung heavy in the air.

As if in response, more blood-red eyes flickered to life around them.

The Blood Mist clan member was not alone; he had brought his exiled clan into Amegakure.

Their ability to silently subdue Hanzo's men with the Bloodline Limit Eye spoke volumes about the planning of Danzō and Black Zetsu.

Hanzo knew that if he waited a minute, his personal guard, who hadn't contacted the patrolling ninjas, would bring in dozens more of his loyalists. But facing Danzō, Black Zetsu, and the Blood Mist clan, Hanzo, who had previously shown no interest in hunting Uchiha Kai, felt a shift in his resolve.

"Heh, Hanzo, this isn't like you," Black Zetsu chuckled.

"This impressive lineup seems to have shaken even your impulsive nature.

Uchiha Kai's Mangekyō Sharingan possesses immeasurable power. Remember Uchiha Madara, who rivaled the God of Shinobi, thanks to his Mangekyō Sharingan."

Black Zetsu surveyed the group.

"We're all ambitious individuals."

"Uchiha Kai's recent successes in capturing three tailed beasts are due to his Mangekyō Sharingan."

"If we kill him and take his eyes, we can control tailed beasts, forming the strongest tailed beast army."

"Imagine the power we'll wield."

Black Zetsu's words held an undeniable allure.

The Rinnegan was legendary, but its true power remained unknown. Compared to Kai's seemingly mastered Mangekyō Sharingan, one was shrouded in mystery, the other infamous.

The latter was far more tempting.

Watching Hanzo's hesitation, Black Zetsu, the architect of centuries of shinobi world conflict, proved his skill in persuasion.

If there were a contest for the strongest talk-no-jutsu user, Black Zetsu would undoubtedly win.

"What? Still undecided, Hanzo?" Black Zetsu smirked.

"Adding one more person might sway you."

"Someone else?" Hanzo was surprised.

He saw another figure emerge—a pale face, a long, crimson tongue.

Orochimaru.

"I never expected one of the legendary Sannin to appear here," Hanzo said, his expression darkening.

"Your power in Konoha has grown significantly. Black Zetsu considers you his trump card."

Danzō and the Blood Mist clan leader showed no surprise at Orochimaru's arrival.

"Heh, Hanzo-sama, you're still the same. You used to chastise us younger generations. Now you're still so cautious," Orochimaru said with a mocking laugh.

He possessed forbidden jutsu, and the awe he once felt for Hanzo was long gone.

In fact, Orochimaru's immortality meant he felt no fear. He could be resurrected as long as his cells remained in another living being.

He was more formidable than Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

"Hmph, you were a cold snake then, now you're all smooth talk.

Seems your skills have improved, and you've forgotten those scars," Hanzo sneered. But his tone softened slightly.

"However, with even this younger generation involved, if I refuse, it would damage my reputation."

"But how will we divide the Rinnegan and the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Hanzo pointed out the obvious problem: only two eyes, and five people present.

Division of spoils would be a major issue.

"Heh, Hanzo-sama, you remain cautious," Orochimaru chuckled. "This is a world of survival of the fittest. Whoever kills Kai and takes the eyes gets them."

"And I doubt you'll need both eyes, Hanzo-sama."

Orochimaru's condescending tone would usually have earned him a beating, but his proposal was clearly unfavorable. Hanzo coldly shifted the conversation.

After a brief discussion, Danzō and his allies vanished into the rain.

Hanzo, his expression shifting, addressed his ANBU.

"Send a message to Yahiko of Akatsuki. Tell him to meet at Mount Udon three days from now for an S-rank mission!"

The long-dormant Amegakure was once again in motion.

Meanwhile, on the Amegakure border, two figures, one large, one small, moved like ghosts through the forest.

Underneath the black and red Akatsuki cloak, a familiar face emerged—Uchiha Kai, having successfully captured Chōmei.

"Boss, should we change clothes?" Kimimaro asked, his expression suddenly changing.
