Zane's POV ~
I couldn't eat properly before, but the moment I tasted Silas's shrimps, it was like a switch flipped inside me. Now I felt like I could devour every dish in sight.
"The shrimps were amazing, Silas. Just the way I like them," I admitted with a warm smile, grabbing the cold cup of orange juice and downing it to soothe the burn in my mouth.
"You should hurry up and try the pepper soup then since you want something spicy." Alfie's voice cut in smoothly. He leaned forward, uncovering a golden bowl to reveal steaming pepper soup filled with assorted meats. The aroma alone made my mouth water instantly.
"Oh my goodness, Silas!" I gasped, my eyes lighting up like a child given candy. "You even prepared this too? Thank you so much. You always know what I like."
With excitement, I scooped a spoonful of the pepper soup into my mouth. The spice and tender meat exploded across my tongue.
