Chapter 45 : Impossible, No Way!!

Perspective of Hela

At last. . . the day I have waited for has arrived. . . even though it took a thousand years, it has finally come to an end!

The exile curse of Odin that trapped me in this hellish dimension to stop my ambition, my hunger, my desire to rampage across battlefields conquering lands, claiming territories, gathering resources and people to strengthen Asgard's glory! To make it even more glorious!!

But Father never understood. . . He stopped at the Nine Realms and bound them together with the Bifrost once, when Mjölnir, my beloved weapon, was the key to open and close the dimensional gates before it was transferred to Heimdall's sword after I fell powerless from being besieged by hundreds of Valkyries for 7 days and 7 nights until I had no strength left to resist Odin's curse.

"Heh. . . Asgard. . . your queen has returned. . . Fenrir, my beloved child, we shall continue our conquest expanding the stars under the Bifrost's rule more and more and more!. . . Asgard shall become the supreme ruler of the universe!!"

I shouted out the ambition that had fermented for a millennium while tearing apart the sealing spells that had bound Asgard's advance for an age And the first place I chose to go was where Odin's magical essence could be felt most strongly. . . Midgard

More precisely, Norway. The land where the Norse humans once worshipped us, the Aesir, gods of Asgard I had been here in my youth watching Father Odin triumph over the Frost Giants claiming the Casket of Ancient Winters, the frozen artifact of their royal lineage That was the first spark that made me desire to claim everything under Asgard's dominion

It was poetic fate that the place where I became the Goddess of Death, the Queen of War, would also be the final resting place of the Father who created me who forged me into what I am!

"You called me twisted said I was consumed by madness But who was it. . . who taught who molded who shaped me to be this way. . ." I murmured softly stepping out of the dimensional gate Though I was too late to see the body of the one I respected as the greatest ruler and despised to my core crumble before my eyes I still caught the last glimmer of his golden light drifting toward the realm of the fallen gods and goddesses of Asgard, Valhalla

"To die of old age and still reach Valhalla huh! That place isn't meant for cowards sitting on a throne for a thousand years without seeking new lands treasures or forces to strengthen the kingdom" I whispered before sensing not far from me the presence of Odin's blood standing beside one who carried the scent of a Frost Giant

Their closeness was unbelievable but what interested me more than their strange bond was that my weapon was now in the hands of a mere child not even two thousand years old and its power had been sealed The hammer Mjölnir itself bound not to reveal its true might while its wielder's growth had also been sealed to prevent their body and mind from breaking under the burden. . . As far as I could remember Odin never raised me this delicately

"You. . . who are you? How dare you call my father a cowardly god!"

Whirr whirr whoooosh!

The hammer spun with force before being thrown at me. . . at its true owner, me!

"Rude and inexperienced. . . this is the second child of Odin?" I shook my head slowly raising my right hand lifting my index finger devoid of any stored magic since birth but filled with the power I absorbed over a thousand years in Helheim. . . the Power of Death!

That was more than enough My body was strong enough to make Surtur, the king of fire giants, kneel with a single punch A hammer thrown with mere muscle strength lacking training and without lightning's aid? My single fingertip was more than enough!!

Crackle crackle!!

Lightning danced over the hammer trying to strike me It seemed time had made it forget who its true master was I would have to punish it with the ultimate sentence for betrayal worthy of Asgard's greatest general

Crack!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

I bent my finger and flicked it channeling the power of death into it The thunder hammer shattered instantly exploding with energy that scorched the meadow of the Nordic cliffs turning it into a crater 10 meters deep and 20 meters wide within a blink The hammer forged from Uru scattered in fragments while the handle made from a branch of Yggdrasil, wrapped in the hide of the squirrel clan Ratatoskr, guardian of the world tree, burned to ashes

Its current owner was blown away by the blast I did not know where and so was the disguised Frost Giant but I doubted they were truly dead from this explosion

"Heh. . . ran away already did you. . . then I. . . shall reclaim Asgard now. . . Whaaaaaaa!"

I screamed as the scenery shattered like broken glass and in the next instant I felt all my power sealed before being warped into the middle of a grand hall of an ancient building filled with magical instruments Though I could not sense their power a single glance was enough for me to recognize them from my fading memories of the ancient artifacts I once read about in the royal library studied by Mother Frigga and the Vanir gods for millennia

"Welcome, Goddess of Death of Asgard, to the New York Sanctum. . . My name is Doctor Strange. . . the Surgeon of Death."

"No way! Impossible!! How can a mortal of Midgard possess an aura of death stronger than mine!!"
