Perspective of Loki
10:00 a.m.
At the building filled with enchantments along Baker Street, New York
I stood before this mysterious place in a black suit like those worn by humans but I deliberately conjured my tie to be emerald green matching my eyes My muscle-brained brother stood beside me in the same style of suit but his tie was bright yellow like a pile of. . . gold piles he had stopped melting with lightning after I kept enchanting him with it repeatedly
"Alright let's go in and meet the wizard" he said before walking ahead holding a large black umbrella like a staff climbing the stairs I shrugged lightly speaking softly as a greeting to the owner of this place
"How great can the wizard of Midgard be. . ."
Fwoooooooooshhhhhhhhhhh!!
A dimensional gate opened beneath my feet and sucked my whole body down before I could prepare myself in any way
"Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!"
I screamed aloud as I saw the darkness surrounding me The fear that my life would end in the endless void of space returned like the time when the Bifrost Bridge was destroyed by my muscle-headed brother twisting the dimension and sending me falling into that crack
Before long the darkness faded I tried to balance my body flipping myself in the direction and angle I believed my head should point upward and my feet ready to land on the ground while observing my surroundings and hastily attempting to summon magic but. . . no! My magical power was completely gone!
"How is this possible!" My heart raced with fear Even my favorite daggers could not be summoned not to mention illusion or teleportation spells
The darkness cleared away entirely making me even more uneasy and in the next moment I realized I was standing again on Baker Street The surroundings were the familiar New York scenery from my two visits
But. . . the events happening around me were from the first time I came here as an invader!
And more importantly I was no longer in the body of Loki the God of Mischief but trapped in the body of an old homeless man a crippled beggar on the street I could feel that the bones of my right leg were chronically injured making it impossible to walk normally I needed a cane to stand and there was back pain neck pain my circulation was terrible and my internal organs had all deteriorated with age
A human body so full of problems that it was unbelievable it could still survive daily life at all
I in this body sat watching the sky filled with Chitauri flying ships shooting lasers destroying buildings jumping down from Leviathan ships shaped like giant whales descending like a rain of destruction spreading through buildings killing resisters and rounding up humans to use as hostages for the invasion plan to claim New York as a base for world domination
A green laser beam cut through the sky heading straight for me My heart pounded fast in fear of death but at the moment before it pierced my forehead I realized. . . this must be the wizard's illusion!
Crack. . . CRASHHHHHHHHHH!
The scene around me cracked and shattered like glass pierced by a sharp object followed by ripples spreading outward like a calm lake's surface disturbed by a thrown stone and I found myself standing in outer space with the Earth beneath me
"Another illusion. . . using illusions on me the God of Mischief himself. . . Waaaaaahhhhhhh!"
I felt something behind me and when I turned I saw Earth's moon rushing toward me slowly but massive beyond my ability to dodge Even knowing it was an illusion when it struck me head-on the false pain assaulted every nerve in my body as if real
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The deafening explosion numbed my hearing my vision blurred until I could no longer tell whether my eyes were open or closed my nose sensed no smell and it felt like the lunar dust from the collision filled my lungs making me cough violently I could sense no magic no direction only confusion and pain so real it was as if I had been crushed between the moon and the Earth smashed flat into the ground
I didn't know how many minutes hours or days had passed The torment from the immense weight pressing down warped my perception of time unbelievably Even though I was a god I shouldn't have been trapped by a mortal wizard's illusion like this. . . If my mother Frigga the greatest sorceress of Asgard knew that I her son the heir to her magic had fallen for such a spell she would be so disappointed
'If I had known I should have studied magic more seriously with her instead of wasting time plotting pranks on Thor' I thought regretfully about my own stubborn foolishness thinking I could just study magic again in another hundred years after my mess on Earth faded But who would have thought Malekith the dark elf would invade Asgard because of my failed plan stabbing my mother to death. . .
Without her I no longer hesitated to seize Asgard using my proud illusions driving away my biased father who loved Thor more than me making him a homeless wanderer in New York. . . That's why my brother dragged me here before I ended up being crushed by the moon in the wizard's illusion
"So that's how it is" a man's voice spoke beside my ear and in the next instant I found myself floating in a grand hall that I could tell at a glance was a guest reception room in the same building where my brother and I had stood moments ago It was filled with the aura of magic emanating from every ornament but the terrifying part was. . .
I was floating while my body had been cut dissected and divided into pieces! Head torso arms legs all separated floating apart while my brother stood laughing beside the wizard wearing the robes of the Sorcerer Supreme of Midgard
"Never thought I'd see the day you'd realize your mistake! That you wasted time finding ways to prank me instead of training Ha ha ha!"
" Tch. . . " I clicked my tongue in irritation "Had your fun yet Sorcerer Supreme?"
