The next morning I gathered the masters and my fellow padawans into a large sparring chamber. We were in a chamber that barely anyone in the temple uses. I chose this location to ensure some privacy. Master Plo then approached me to share some news.
"Cain, besides masters Mace and Unduli, the other masters are here. Master Fay will be arriving with the other Jedi shortly."
I nodded. "Thank you master Plo. I know this is short notice, but I want to form my trusted circle now."
Plo only shook his head. "Think nothing of it my padawan." Plo then placed a hand on my shoulder. "...I told you I believe in you so this is the least I can do. But I do have another another matter to discuss with you, that being about accessing those holocrons you mentioned."
My eyes narrowed as Plo continued to speak.
" Unfortunately Bastila's holocron was damaged a couple of Millennium ago. The order has not been able to repair it since. As for Nomi Sunrider her holocron is only accessible to the grandmaster of the order. And Tarre Vizsla's..."
Plo had pause for a moment. A rare sense of hesitation radiated of him.
"Tarre Vizsla's holocron is hidden."
My eyes then widen from the statement. I can understand the first two I played the SWTOR game so I understand Bastila's. And Nomi's was a grandmaster if not one of the greatest in the order. I'm sure she had some beliefs along with Force techniques the order want to remain hidden. But why is Tarre Vizsla's hidden?
"What do you mean it's hidden master?"
"When I search the Jedi Archives terminal it said that item was restricted but it didn't elaborate, so I asked Chief Librarian Jocasta Nu for answers. She said Tarre Vizsla's does indeed have a holocron, but unless three people sign off for it's release then no one will have access to the holocron."
"Who are the three?"
"Grandmaster Yoda. Mace Windu. and Huyang"
My eyes narrowed. I understand the first two but why Huyang?
The the door hissed opened as Master Fay, and a few Jedi began to walk into the training room.
Fay spoke with a elegant grace. "Cain I have brought the Jedi you wished to see."
Then behind her several Jedi came into the room with curious expressions on their faces. Oppo Rancisis. Adi Gallia. T'ra Saa. Serra Keto. Cin Drallig. Ima-Gun Di. Tera Sinube. Yaddle. Depa Billaba. Kit Fisto. Nahdar Vebb. Aayla Secura. and Quinlan Vos.
I bowed to all the Jedi that came.
"Thank you everyone for answering my call to come here, you all must be wondering what a padawan is doing having a master of the order bring you to a random sparring room? And to answer your question I have chosen you all with the other Jedi here as people I trust to tell this secret. I am planning on leaving the Jedi order in the near future and starting a new order."
My statement made eyes widen in surprise and murmurs start to form between everyone. Then a voice broke through the murmurs.
"Did you receive permission from the council to start a new order, and why should we follow you?"
It was Nahdar Vebb who spoke.
"No I didn't ask the council for permission and I don't need it to do so." Murmurs and eyes narrowed from my bold statement. I decided to continue.
"Let me be clear on something, the Jedi council does not control who can and cannot learn how to use the Force... They are just part of a long standing order that has branched off and that has fallen and been reborn many times. It just so happens that this order has been the only one to stand the longest. "
The answer voice spoke cutting me off.
"So are you gonna be the new grandmaster of this order? You a padawan who hasn't even gone through his knight trials, and where would you even go." It was Serra keto who spoke this time.
"No I will not be the leader of the new order and I don't want to be."
That statement filled the audience with surprise they didn't expect that answer.
"I like to be part of the galaxy and help it's people. I cannot do that if I running a order of who knows how many." I then gestured to Master Fay and Plo. "I trust the Jedi masters here who have been wonderful teachers to me to lead the order along with some individuals from outside the order who have a different understanding of the Force."
That seem to answer her question cause Serra was soon quiet after that.
Then Master Cin Drallig stepped forward and spoke. "Padawan Cain it's seems you feel very strongly about this. I seen you grow up in the temple and accomplish many things Jedi twice your age couldn't do. But for what reason do you want to go behind the councils back and start your own order? He then looked towards Plo and Fay. "And you two, why are you backing him, he is a child?"
Before Plo could speak I gestured a hand to him. Telling him I have this.
"What I am about to tell you is a vision I had for the past few years, and not even the grandmaster knows this."
I then told them everything well almost everything. I told them about the clone army. The Sith. Tython. The Galactic Alliance. My war on slavery and crime and my plans for the new order from having attachments and learning different sides of the Force.
I kept the hybrid army a secret for now, along with Palpatine and Dooku's involvement and identities. Along with Mandalore and the ysalamiri.
Eyes widen from the group that came in and the Masters from Anakin and Seris side. I didn't tell the other masters quite yet, well better late then never.
"Does that answer your question master?"
"Why haven't you told the council this, and what proof do you have for any of these Sith and this army?"
"Search your feelings master, you know what I say to be true. Can't you tell the Force has been cloudy these past few decades? More and more each year right. It wasn't noticeable at first but you can tell now right? It probably doesn't help that this temple was built on top of a Sith Shrine."
The whole room looked at me with shock in their eyes. Then Master Plo spoke.
"Cain what do you mean the Jedi temple was built on a Sith shrine?"
I looked at Master Plo for a second... Oh shit... yeah no one new about that fact. Sidious and his master was the only ones.
"So the jedi that founded the Coruscant temple built a jedi temple over the Sith shrine that was here during the extremely early days of the planet. The primary reason was to contain the powerful, corrupting energies of the Sith shrine, which was built on a Force vergence. I believe The Jedi hoped that by having this temple and its light-side adepts situated above the shrine, they could eventually neutralize and convert the dark energy to the light side. But it just made it very unnoticeable to those who don't know what their looking for."
"If you want proof then here." I brought out a data chip from my robes. "This tells you the location of the entrance and be prepared the Sith will have droids that excavate the shrine and keep its existence hidden so you will find danger. If your lucky or unlucky you might even discover the Sith Lord there as they absorb the shrines power."
Master Drallig took the chip and eyed me. "Why haven't you told the council or your Master?"
You know he's right I should have at least told Master Plo a long time ago, but I didn't want to keep changing things to quickly before I had enough power.
"That is a secret master. One of many more I am hiding, but please consider this a sign of trust."
Then Depa spoke. "Cain what makes you think we won't go and tell the council of what your planning?"
"You all can go ahead and tell them or don't, It won't matter to me anyway."
Depa continued "An why do you say that Cain. Building a army. Starting your own order. Having attachments and learning the darkside of the Force. Cain you could be kicked out of the Jedi order for any of this."
Depa said that with what sounded like concern in her voice. I guess in a way she is kind of like a big sister in Vaapad to me. Plus Mace has been another mentor of mine over the years.
"Depa I had made peace and moves to leave the order a long time ago. Especially if they hurt or abandon the people I care about and love." I then looked over towards Anakin and the others who smiled back.
"So if any of you want to tell the council go ahead. I will do what this order should have done a long time ago. Leave Coruscant and travel the Galaxy and helping it's people. Not just the rich and powerful. I'm not saying for us to be soldiers, but to actually be keepers of the peace. How can we say we do that when slavery and crime is rampant in the Mid and Outer Rims. Not to mention the order takes children from their families."
"And I have yet to see one Jedi who is actually from the lower levels of Coruscant be brought to the temple. We ignore those people and let crime run rampant under or noses.... When we are literally near the largest source of power in the galaxy and we still do nothing."
My statements made the Jedi start quite and look at me in awe. I can tell they weren't angry at me they were in shame because they new there was truth in my words.
After that I dismissed the other Jedi. I wanted to give them something to think about but I don't expect all them to join me at first.
"That was incredible Cain, you really showed them." Anakin said
"It was a nice speech Cain, you had me really moved." Barriss said.
Then Master Kuro and Shaak Tii came up to us.
"Padawan Cain, your speech it was very surprising. Master Plo along with Seris said you knew something and want to make great changes... I just didn't know it was this much... Its a lot to take in" Master Shaak Tii said.
Master Kuro just smirked. "Padawan I don't know about all of these other things, but I do agree with one thing. The jedi are hypocrites and things need to change. I knew I saw something great in you, you can count me and my student on bored."
"Master there you go again speaking for me like I don't have a choice." Derren said nervously.
Then in perfect since me and master Kuro looked at Derren and said. "You don't have a choice."
That sent a cold shiver down Derren's back. Then he looked to Seris. "Ice princess please help me, can one of your Corelia Jedi members help me?"
Seris just placed her hands behind her back and acted elegant and cold. Then with a elegant dramatic flare she turned her head. her long silver white hair, which was braided back into a pony tail smacked Derren in the face.
"Ooowww, what the hell ice princess?"
Then master Kuro slapped him on the back of his head. "Language Derren, how many times do I have to tell you to watch it?"
"But master you swear more then I do?" Derren said rubbing the back of his head
Then Seris stepped on his foot. "Don't talk back to master Kuro."
"Ooowww, what the hell..."
Smack
"Language padawan"
I chuckled from their interaction.
Then Obi-Wan walked forward. "Cain you said a lot. Some of it I am still trying to understand especially how you know so much?"
That tracks for something Obi-wan to say. Always ask questions or you will get no where. But can you handle the answers Obi-wan?
"What can I say knight Obi-Wan, I am blessed and curse by the Force with knowledge."
Those words are truer then they know. Having knowledge doesn't mean I can always act on it, and it doesn't mean I can always change things. I thought back to Master Qui-Gon, and how I couldn't safe him.
"So Cain... Are you truly leaving the order?"
I nodded my head. "Yes I am, and I am taking like minded individuals with me. Also Obi-wan will you please just marry the Duchess, I'm really tired of waiting for you to to get together."
"Thank you someone else says it." Anakin said.
"Wait what?" Obi-wan said with confusion across his face.
I then got close to Obi-Wan. Obi-wan the Duchess likes you she told me so, and I don't know what you two talked about or did when I left that room. But I swear if you don't make a honest woman out of her I will be disappointed."
"Cain your a child what do you know about love or adult matters. Plus I am still part of the order."
I smirked. "Obi-wan, that has stopped no one from finding love in the past and in my order you can do it openly. But I am serious though. The duchess will make it harder to unite Mandalore so please marry her and go off somewhere or bring her to Tython and make some babies. Just do something please."
Obi-wan sighed. "...Fine I will come."
I was surprised that he gave up that quickly. "...Really?"
Obi-wan nodded. " Yes. When Qui-Gon died he told me to believe in the Force, and to believe in Anakin.... If Anakin believes in you then so do I."
".... Thank you Obi-Wan"
Later that night as most slept in the temple Cain was in deep meditation. He found himself in the void world, but Infront of him was mother Talzin.
"Hello Master. It has been a while."
Talzin was floating before me coldly like she normally did. "Cain my student we have much to talk about."
"...Oh is it that bad?"
"Yes my student you have awakened the shadows, and now they move."
At Palpatine's Coruscant residence
Palpatine wakes receiving a holo transmission from a droid. "What is it droid... This better be important to call me at such a hour."
The droid spoke in it basic robotic speech. "Yes master.... Jedi have found the entrance to the alter and are continuing to wipe us out.
"What?" Palpatine said in surprise. "How many and who is there?"
Palpatine was trying to wrap his head around the Jedi finding out about the alter and his tunnels. Could someone have discovered it by accident?... No it would have to be a crazy set of coincidences for that to happen. But how did they find it?
Then the droid spoke again. "The reports from the other Droids state the intruders are Mace Windu, Cin Drallig, and seven other Jedi."
"I see.... Destroy any evidence of me being there and destroy any Jedi you can." Palpatine then ended the transmission.
As the droid ended the transmission it was immediately destroyed by Depa.
"That's the last one Master." She said as Windu approached
"It seems Cain was right, which only makes me question what more is he hiding."
"What do you mean master?" Depa said
"Cain has always had shatterpoints like anyone else, but there are times when they intensify. I thought nothing of it, but after what Master Drallig told me. I believe Cain is hiding more then what he says, and I intend to get to the bottom of it."
