As Cain drifted in the silence of the void. His mind was in a peaceful state of rest for the first time in years. But in the far distance of the void, abyssal shadows began to move without him noticing.
Deep in the unknown regions
On a planet long forgotten by most of the galaxy for thousands of years. But it wasn't forgotten by the Force. Long-reaching towers filled the sky. A sprawling civilization filled the planet. The people were mostly human, with the occasional aliens amongst the population. The majority of the population is humanoid, with the only differences being their hair and skin color.
But after thousands of years of cross-breeding. They were all considered to be part of the same culture. This same culture that governed one empire that expanded throughout the stars.
The world was advanced, yet mixed with nature. At the same time, the people's fashion was inspired by the warriors of old. Ceremonial robes that fit close and snug on the body. But they were flexible for free movement. Nothing was extravagant, only practical.
Some families were considered to be noble; the only difference was the color of the robes and a family crest. This represented their family house, from which they hail. On this mysterious planet in, this hidden empire of the unknown region, these were symbols of power, pride, and duty.
In the center of the ever-expanding city, where cars and ships flew in the sky, there stood an architectural marvel at its center. A large citadel in the center of what could be considered the capital of this world stood. An advanced yet medieval castle made of white stone stood. It was filled with fountains and colorful plant life that expanded from the center and reached out to different parts of the city.
This made the ever-expanding land covered a mixed balance of nature and advanced technology that made one complemented each other. This reflected the unknown empires' balanced civilization throughout the planet. Not mainly in its environment, but in the Force. The planet and its people were rich in it.
Deep underneath the citadel and the castle sit the abandoned ruins of the former civilization. But directly under the castle itself sits the royal tomb. It held the bodies of this empire's royal family members. From the founding royal family to the new ones that followed after.
Underneath in the deep darkness where the dead sleep. Laid in the tomb was a child of the first royal family. There was a mixture of stone carvings and crystal lights around the tomb. Inside was a corpse in white robes. Inside the robes was just a skeleton. The tomb sat next to two other tombs to represent siblings. While two more tombs lay in front of the three.
While the right one looked just like the other three tombs. Just with different symbols to distinguish who the dead were and any services they did in their life. The left tomb was the most extravagant one. It was a stone with intricate carvings that told stories of who this was. It was an emperor long gone and not just any emperor, but the first emperor.
In between the darkness of the tomb, an abyssal like darkness appeared. The eerie darkness swallowed the light of the crystals illuminating the tomb's chamber. Dark, shadowy tendrils move throughout the tomb, examining the bodies in their distinct graves. It was searching for something... for someone in particular.
Then, like it was fate, the abyssal presence set its tendrils on the first royal family. Within moments, the tendrils searched through one of the tombs and absorbed the skeletal corpse into its shadow and disappeared like it never existed.
Back in the giant white castle, deep within its walls, was a giant chamber where a throne was placed. Surrounded by a mixture of armor-like figures. The armor was mainly white plates with black lining that fitted their bodies. Their helmets hid their identities. Each armor was practical, with no excessive bulk or lack of material for the armor. The only difference between the armors was the ability to tell who was a man or a woman.
These armors were a reflection of medieval knight armor, with a focus on being balanced in mobility and defense for the wearer. Next to the giant ceremonial throne stood two tall and imposing figures. A man and a woman who wore the same armor as the other knights. The only difference between these two knights was their armor. Both the front of the armor plates had a gold dragon insignia on the breast plate. This distinguished them as ones of great importance, considering they stood next to the throne itself.
The throne was very unique. It was a mixture of advance technology and something unknown. A large ebony ceremonial throne, that reached into the ceiling of the chamber. Gold crack like veins reached throughout the chair. What made the chair more mysterious was the unknown language that flickered to life between the gold veins.
The chair itself radiated power in the Force, not one of light or dark, but a ever rising balance of both. Only when someone sat upon the throne will the Force shift with it, and the planet outside will reflect with this shift.
Then two figures enter the chamber room, which shifted the cool, calm air of the chamber along with the standing knights in it. All knights snap to attention without anyone uttering a word. The two figures that walked in were not imposing in anyway. Unless you saw and felt their presence in the Force then you would think very differently.
The two figures were a boy and a girl no older than 14 years old. They both had fair tanned sun kissed skin.
Both walked with elegant precise steps. The boy stood slightly taller then the girl. He wore white robes with black accents, and gold lining with a gold dragon insignia on his chest. His eyes were a soft amber yellow. His hair was short black and combed back in a natural fade.
The girl was shorter then her male counterpart. She had long raven hair that flowed just past her shoulders. It spiraled into a slight curl at the tip of her hairs edges. Her Amethyst eyes contrasted her male counterpart.
As the two approached the giant ebony throne the front two imposing knights saluted. They're Left hand on their left side on the hilt of a sword that was in there scabbards. While their right hands were closed in a fist which sat right under the gold dragon insignia. The two knights spoke in unison, both a masculine and feminine voice spoke in harmony.
"All hail the emperor and empress who have arrived. The throne shall now be ascended upon."
Then the boy and girl stood at a quick military attention, then in a smooth transition both walked side by side in a matching cadence towards the throne. The Boy on the right side and the girl on the left side. They both placed one hand on the giant throne. Then the faint runic language glowed white across the gold veins that encompassed the giant throne. The throne then stretched and morphed like moving black liquid came to life and responded to the two beings Infront of it. The giant throne went from being able to seat one to seating for two.
As the boy and girl ascended to the throne all the knights got on one knee and knelt. Hands on sword hilts and fist on their chest in a salute.
As the two sat down on the throne the Force around the planet began to shift. The boys eyes glowed yellow amber then turned a whitish blue with a intense glow. The girl's amethyst eyes glowed brightly and then her irises turned a bright blood red.
Then the knights spoke after feeling the pressure released from the shift in the Force. "All Hail the golden dragons have descended upon us. Kneel before the dragons of Zakuul"
Then a pulse filled the chamber and moved throughout the castle into the city and it's people. Then in a instant the citizens around the city stopped in place. Then they kneel to the ground while facing the citadel with theirs heads looking to the ground. Men, women, and children alike did it instinctually and with great joy.
In the Outer Rim
In the asteroid belt laid the remains of a long dead planet. It's remains untouched for thousands of years until now. The eerie tendrils reached out from the void and slither across the destroyed planets remains. It was in search of something that was long dead and vulnerable. After hours of searching the eerie tendril's pulled out a tattered and half destroyed black robe filled with remnants of a half destroyed skeleton. Then again like before it disappeared from the cold void of space like it never existed.
Another region of the Outer Rim
On the frozen world of Jebble, deep in Dreypa's Oubliette laid a Jedi lost and forgotten to time. She was sealed for the safety of the galaxy taking a dark side artifact with her. It contains a dark power that if unleashed in the wrong hands will plunge the galaxy into another war. One that hasn't seen evil it in thousands of years. Dark eerie tendril's find the sealed chamber of the forgotten female Jedi Master. Suddenly the shadows shifted over and over again.
The mysterious entity struggled to take shape. All that was seen was black lightless eyes that mirrored the abyss. A unnaturally wide mouth that opened showing monstrously white jagged teeth. Like hair that flickered between the shadows and white. It's form was close to that of a slender woman. It formed a hand and reached out with it's tendril like fingers towards the sealing chamber that held the mysterious Jedi.
But right as it did it stopped. It felt the presence of powerful entities near. In that instant the shadow figure returned to the void from whence it came.
On the planet of Atollon sat the Bendu. He was deep in meditation, feeling the galaxy around him move in ways even he couldn't fully predict. The chosen grows stronger, and the mysterious boy does as well. The shadows are moving in secret, and the Ones continue to be out of balance. Cain... I wonder what will you do when you find out what you really are. Will you create balance or will you destroy it all?"
Deep in the unknow region on a bioorganic ship was a gray skinned female humanoid being. She was kneeling for what looked like prayer. It wasn't a prayer of love and peace, but one of pain and purification. Her sharp fingers carved into her flesh as she bled black blood. She was saying the name Yun-Harla, and asking for a sign.
....
Then like a miracle her prayers were answered. The purple sacs under her eyes pulsed with power as her she said a name. A name never mentioned in the entirety of her peoples culture.
"Yes my goddess. I see you, and I hear you. I shall spread your name so the others may worship you. I renounce the false gods and proclaim you my beloved queen and mother of the Stars and shadows. Please be patient. For soon my people will worship you or they shall die with the false gods."
As the woman said this A dark eerie shadow Infront of her disappeared.
On Dathomir Mother Talzin met with the Singing Mountain Clan mother Augwynne Djo. The two came out of a long mystical meditation. Once they opened their eyes the air around them shifted to one of dread.
The two matriarchs looked at each other but Djo spoke first. "This is getting bad Talzin. Your student has awakened the bringer of chaos. It is only a matter of time until she corrupts the whole galaxy. Tell me why didn't you teach the boy about his power and tell him about what is out there hidden in the abyss?"
Talzin just sat there in quiet contemplation. "Cain already new about what lurked in the shadows."
"Then why not teach him about his abilities and show him how to control them?"
"It's not that I didn't.... I simply cannot teach him how to control his power. Because like the chosen one, he is on a whole other level."
Djo looked at Talzin with confusion from her statement. "Can you explain?"
Talzin nodded. "The child Cain is a special soul. One not like any other in this galaxy... no I should say not like any soul in the universe. None that came before are like him and none after will be like him either. His power is not simply just the Force it never was."
Djo eyes widen in realization from Talzins statement. "That's impossible... are you trying to say that boy..."
"Yes!" Talzin said. "Cain is the living vessel or the Chosen One of the realm of the Beyond Shadows."
"That shouldn't be possible. Beyond Shadows is just a state of mind?"
Talzin shook her head. "No it is more then that. It is a higher state then the Force. A realm devoid of all physical composition, including space and time. But at the same time can touch the Force in a different way. It would be better to say Cain is the living vessel of Beyond Shadows. He has similar if not on par potential as the chosen one, but he acts more like a conduit."
"What do you mean?" Djo said.
"Cain does have a extremely high affinity in the Force. But I cannot tell you if that is from chance or if its from the shadows themselves. But I've seen him be able to draw out the truest potential of all those around him. He bonds with them and creates a resonance link in the Force like a Force bond. But that link between him and the others is so primal and pure in the Cosmic Force, it's akin to the power of the Mortis entities."
".... So your saying this boy Cain. He is not only strong in the Force, but he can also make others stronger as well?"
"Yes, but it is more then that. I don't believe Cain knows this yet, but it's just a theory of mine. He has the ability to corrupt or change the Force and twist it to what he want's if not destroy it all together."
Djo's eyes stared at the firepit between them. She new of Cain after seeing his bright light in the void world. And it was him who sent Talzin to make peace between their tribes a few years ago. That surprised her the most. But she was confused on what to do after hearing Talzins theory.
"Tell me Talzin, is your student a threat?"
Talzin paused for a moment before answering the question.
".... He is no more of a threat then the bringer of chaos or the chosen one. He is my student and I will continue to guide and help him. Right now his biggest obstacle is himself. But we will need him and the Chosen One if we want to combat this threat."
Djo nodded. "I understand Talzin. I will follow your lead on this one then."
Talzin looked up towards the sky. She was contemplating on how to tell Cain all this. She needed to help guide him with the great power he held. But first thing she was focused on doing was teaching him to not die from using to much of his own power.
