I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside the large glass windows of our mansion. The sunlight poured into the room, spilling golden warmth across the sheets, and for a brief moment, I just lay there—half buried in the silk covers, watching Joonseo still asleep beside me. His face was calm, relaxed, without the weight of responsibilities that usually lined his features when awake. He looked so peaceful that I almost didn't want to disturb him.
Almost.
"Yah," I whispered playfully, poking his cheek with my finger.
He didn't stir. His lips parted slightly as he breathed deeply.
"Joonseo…" I said again, this time leaning closer until my lips were just a hair's breadth from his ear. "Wake up, my prince."
Still nothing.
I puffed out a breath, narrowing my eyes. Fine. If he wanted to play like that, I wasn't going to let him win. With a mischievous smile, I pulled the blanket away and suddenly jumped on top of him, straddling his waist.
That did the trick.
