Chapter 7: Caulifla, Odyn's future WIFE?!
As the other universes returned to their respective realities, the fighters of Universe 6 and 7 remained in the celestial void, the air thick with anticipation. Caulifla stood beside Odyn, her usual fierce demeanor softened by something that looked almost like nervousness – though she'd never admit it. The blue-haired Arkynorean's tall, elegant form contrasted with her smaller, more dynamic presence, yet somehow they seemed to complement each other perfectly.
"Lord Champa," Odyn began, his melodic voice carrying the weight of ceremony that seemed innate to his people. "And honored Grand Priest... we have a request that may be unprecedented in the history of our universes."
The Z fighters gathered closer – Goku wearing his characteristic grin, Vegeta maintaining his stern expression though his eyes showed interest, while the others watched with varying degrees of curiosity. They had fought alongside Odyn, seen his power merge with Goku's to create something beyond even divine understanding. He had become more than just an ally; he was family.
Champa floated closer, his ears twitching with curiosity while trying to maintain his godly dignity. "Well? Out with it then!"
Caulifla stepped forward, her shoulder brushing against Odyn's arm. "I want to cross universes," she declared boldly. "Not just for visits. Permanently."
"What she means," Odyn continued, his orange eyes meeting the Grand Priest's, "is that we seek permission for her to reside in Universe 7, or... for me to reside in Universe 6. Whichever would cause less disruption to the cosmic balance."
The request hung in the void. Beerus and Champa exchanged glances, while Vados raised an eyebrow with interest. The Grand Priest's expression remained neutral, but there was a glimmer in his eyes that suggested this wasn't the first time such a request had been contemplated.
"You realize what you're asking?" Beerus growled, though there was less hostility in his tone than usual. "Universal migration isn't like moving to another planet. The energies, the very fabric of reality..."
"With respect, Lord Beerus," Odyn interrupted, a rare occurrence that made everyone pause, "the Tournament of Power has already proven that the barriers between universes are more permeable than we thought. And after fusion with Goku, I've gained insights into the underlying structure of reality that suggest this is possible... with the right permissions."
The Z fighters moved closer to Odyn, their presence a silent show of support. Even Vegeta, who typically scoffed at such matters, stood firm with his arms crossed. They had witnessed too much together to let universal boundaries separate them now.
The Grand Priest raised his hand, commanding attention. "This is indeed an unusual request," he began, his voice carrying the wisdom of eons. "But perhaps... not an impossible one. After all, the Tournament of Power has shown us that the connections between universes might be more important than their separation..."
All eyes turned to the two Zenos, who had been watching the exchange with their characteristic childlike curiosity. Their decision would ultimately determine the fate of this unprecedented request – and perhaps set a new precedent for the relationship between universes in the process...
The two Zenos huddled together, their childlike faces scrunched in contemplation as they considered the unprecedented request before them. The atmosphere in the void grew thick with anticipation as gods and mortals alike awaited their verdict. The Grand Priest observed with his characteristic serenity, though there was a subtle softness in his expression as he watched Caulifla unconsciously edge closer to Odyn.
"Universe 7 and Universe 6..." one Zeno began.
"Working together..." the other continued.
"It's interesting!" they concluded in unison, their faces brightening.
The Grand Priest stepped forward, his gentle smile suggesting he had anticipated this response. "Indeed, my lords. The Tournament of Power has demonstrated that cooperation between universes can lead to extraordinary developments. The fusion of Goku and Odyn alone proved that universal boundaries need not be absolute barriers."
"And look how strong they got!" the first Zeno exclaimed.
"So strong!" echoed the other, bouncing excitedly.
The Grand Priest's voice carried across the void with authority. "There is precedent for this, albeit ancient. In the earliest days of the multiverse, before the strict separation of universes, there were channels of connection... carefully maintained pathways between realms."
Caulifla's eyes lit up with hope, while Odyn maintained his composed demeanor, though the subtle pulsing of his Arkynorean markings betrayed his emotional state. The Z fighters leaned forward, especially Goku, who couldn't contain his excitement at the prospect of having access to even more powerful fighters to challenge.
"We like it!" declared both Zenos suddenly, their voices ringing with finality. "Make it happen!"
The Grand Priest nodded, raising his staff. "Very well. By decree of the Kings of All, a special dispensation is granted. A permanent channel shall be established between Universes 6 and 7, allowing for controlled passage between the realms. However," he added, his voice taking on a more serious tone, "this channel shall be governed by strict protocols to maintain cosmic balance."
Light began to stream from his staff, weaving complex patterns in the void. "This connection will be anchored by the bond between Odyn and Caulifla. Their ki signatures will serve as the foundation of the bridge between universes, allowing them – and by extension, their closest allies – to cross between realms."
Champa and Beerus exchanged glances, for once finding themselves in complete agreement. This arrangement could indeed strengthen both their universes, creating opportunities for joint training, knowledge exchange, and the development of new techniques.
"Of course," the Grand Priest continued with a knowing smile, "this means you'll need to decide which universe will be your primary residence..."
Caulifla stepped forward, her hand finding Odyn's with uncharacteristic gentleness. "Well, Universe 7 has Goku and Vegeta to train with..." she began, trying to sound practical despite the faint blush on her cheeks.
"And Universe 6 has the Saiyan homeworld," Odyn added thoughtfully, his flame like orange eyes meeting hers. "Perhaps... we don't have to choose just one."
The Zenos clapped delightedly at this resolution, clearly pleased with the entertainment value this new arrangement would provide. The barriers between universes, once thought absolute, were beginning to shift – all because of the unexpected love between a Saiyan warrior and an Arkynorean mystic.
As the Grand Priest began the complex process of establishing the permanent channel between universes, the gathered fighters of both realms could sense that this was more than just a concession to two hearts; it was the beginning of a new era in the multiverse, one where the lines between universes might begin to blur in ways none of them had ever imagined possible...
The Grand Priest's staff traced luminous patterns in the void as he elaborated on the terms. "Balance," he explained, his voice carrying both warmth and warning, "is essential to this arrangement. The channel between universes must maintain equilibrium through regular exchange."
Whis and Vados exchanged knowing looks – they understood better than most the delicate nature of universal boundaries. Whis stepped forward, his staff glowing in resonance with the forming channel. "Think of it as a cosmic tide," he offered. "Too long in one universe without return to the other could create... instabilities."
"Once per month or quarter, you must dwell in your secondary universe," the Grand Priest continued. "This isn't merely bureaucratic procedure – your ki signatures will help maintain the stability of the channel itself."
Champa scratched his chin thoughtfully. "But what about unwanted travelers? We can't have every universal miscreant using this connection for their schemes."
"A valid concern," the Grand Priest acknowledged with a slight nod. "The channel will be attuned specifically to your energy signatures." He gestured to Odyn and Caulifla. "Only those you explicitly grant passage to will be able to cross."
Beerus's ears twitched as he considered the implications. "Still, word of this connection will spread. The criminal elements of both universes aren't known for their respect of boundaries."
"Let them try something," Caulifla declared, punching her palm with characteristic enthusiasm. "Between Universe 6's warriors and Universe 7's Z fighters, any troublemakers will regret it."
Odyn's orange eyes gleamed with agreement. "Indeed. This connection between universes will require protection. Perhaps that's another reason why this dispensation has been granted – to ensure there are guardians ready to defend it."
Goku's face lit up at the prospect. "Hey, that means we could have joint training sessions! Universe 6 and 7 working together – imagine how strong we could all become!"
"And imagine the headaches," Vegeta muttered, though there was a hint of anticipation in his voice at the prospect of new challenges.
The Grand Priest raised his hand for attention once more. "Then we are agreed. The channel will be established with these conditions in place. Choose your primary universe wisely, as it will determine the rhythm of your transitions."
Caulifla and Odyn looked at each other, a silent understanding passing between them. The decision would affect not just them, but potentially the future of both universes. In the background, the Z fighters and Universe 6 Saiyans were already discussing training schedules and potential joint defense strategies.
The truth was clear to everyone present: this connection between universes would bring both opportunities and challenges. But as Odyn's Arkynorean markings pulsed in harmony with Caulifla's flaring Saiyan aura, there was no doubt that whatever threats might emerge from this new arrangement, they would face them together – not just as a couple, but as part of a greater union between two universes that had once been strangers and were now becoming something more...
Odyn and Caulifla turned to face the Grand Priest together, their decision made with both heart and practicality in mind. The Arkynorean's flame-orange eyes held a gentle warmth as they met the Grand Priest's serene gaze.
"We choose Universe 7 as our primary residence," Odyn announced, his melodic voice carrying across the void. "My family, my people – the Arkynoreans – are there. Our traditions and heritage run deep through Universe 7's fabric." He paused, his hand finding Caulifla's. "But we commit to making regular sojourns to Universe 6, at least once or twice per quarter, to maintain the balance you speak of."
Caulifla nodded firmly, her characteristic confidence shining through. "Besides, Universe 7 has some pretty decent training partners," she added with a smirk, shooting a glance at Goku and Vegeta. "And it's not like I'm abandoning Universe 6. We'll be back often enough to keep Cabba and the others on their toes."
The Grand Priest's staff pulsed with approval. "A wise choice. Family bonds are powerful anchors in the multiverse. Having your primary residence near the Arkynorean homeworld will help stabilize the universal channel." His eyes twinkled with knowing wisdom. "And I suspect your frequent visits to Universe 6 will involve more than just maintaining cosmic balance."
Champa huffed, trying to maintain his dignity despite being clearly moved by the situation. "Well, just make sure you don't forget about us entirely. Universe 6's Saiyans still have plenty to learn from one of their strongest warriors."
"As if I'd let them get soft," Caulifla retorted with a grin, while Odyn's flame-like eyes danced with amusement at their exchange.
The Z fighters gathered closer, already discussing plans for welcoming their new resident and her Arkynorean partner. Even Vegeta, usually stoic, seemed to approve of the arrangement – after all, having warriors of their caliber regularly available for training could only benefit Universe 7's overall strength.
As the Grand Priest began the final preparations to formalize their decision, the air around Odyn and Caulifla seemed to shimmer with possibility. They had chosen more than just a primary residence – they had chosen a future that would weave together the best of both universes, anchored by love, family, and the warrior spirit that burned bright in both their hearts.
With that decision out of the way, Caulifla walked with Odyn towards the Z fighters to make the journey back to universe 7. But... before doing so.. Cabba called out something that made both Odyn and Caulifla flush deep crimson as it was a reality the fighters of both universes knew was OBVIOUS.
"Make sure to let us know when the wedding is!", Cabba called out to the two, making both of them flush deep crimson in embarassment.
While it embarassed both Odyn and Caulifla, it made everyone else laugh, knowing tht it was only a matter of time before that was squared away, especially considering how... aggressive earthling women were about planning weddings and this one would be an interuniversal affair.
The void dimension echoed with laughter at Cabba's bold proclamation. Caulifla's face burned crimson as she whirled around, her usual fierce demeanor momentarily replaced by flustered embarrassment. "Cabba! That's... that's not..."
Odyn, despite his usual composed demeanor, wasn't faring much better. His Arkynorean markings pulsed with a brightness that betrayed his emotional state, his flame-orange eyes widening at the implication. The sight of both powerful warriors reduced to blushing silence only made the gathered fighters laugh harder.
"Oh my," Bulma's eyes lit up with that dangerous gleam that all the Z fighters knew too well. "An inter-universal wedding! The planning possibilities are endless!" She was already pulling out her phone, likely to start making notes.
"Think of the food!" Goku chimed in, earning an elbow from Chi-Chi, though she too was already getting that look in her eyes that suggested she was mentally designing dresses.
Vados leaned closer to Whis, both angels wearing knowing smiles. "I suppose we'll need to establish proper protocols for a ceremony that spans two universes," Whis mused, though his eyes twinkled with amusement.
"The first inter-universal wedding!" one Zeno exclaimed.
"So exciting!" the other agreed, both bouncing with childlike glee.
The Grand Priest cleared his throat, though even he couldn't entirely suppress his smile. "Such an event would indeed require careful coordination between the universes. Perhaps another special dispensation for guests..."
"We haven't even..." Caulifla started to protest, but found herself trailing off as she glanced at Odyn, their eyes meeting briefly before both quickly looked away, causing another round of good-natured laughter.
"Just don't expect me to wear a suit," Vegeta grumbled, though Bulma's sharp look suggested that battle was already lost.
Champa grinned mischievously at his brother Beerus. "I suppose we'll both have to attend. Can't have one God of Destruction without the other at an inter-universal wedding."
"Would you all just..." Caulifla's protest died in her throat as she felt Odyn's hand slip into hers, his touch gentle but grounding. The Arkynorean warrior looked down at her with an expression that made her heart skip despite her embarrassment.
"Let them have their fun," he said softly, his melodic voice meant only for her ears. "Though perhaps we should focus on settling into Universe 7 first before we give them more to plan for."
The subtle 'first' in his statement wasn't lost on either of them, causing both their faces to redden again. Behind them, the collective fighters, gods, and angels of both universes continued their cheerful speculation about what would surely be the multiverse's most unique ceremony – whenever it might occur.
As they finally prepared to depart for Universe 7, Kale called out one last time: "Don't forget to invite us all to the bachelor and bachelorette parties too!" This final quip sent everyone into another fit of laughter, while Caulifla muttered something under her breath about getting revenge during their next training session.
The group materialized outside Goku's home, where delicious aromas already filled the air. Before they could even catch their bearings, the front door burst open as Sarai rushed out, her lavender hair with its distinctive black highlights and silver streaks flowing behind her. Her eyes immediately found her brother Odyn, though they flickered with obvious curiosity to the Saiyan woman standing close beside him.
"Brother!" she called out, then paused, a knowing smile spreading across her face as she took in the scene. Behind her, Roy emerged more casually, his cerulean blue hair with its lavender streaks and crimson tips catching the sunlight as he leaned against the doorframe, wearing his characteristic smirk.
"So," Roy drawled, "this is why you were so determined to win. Bringing home a Saiyan warrior from another universe, brother?"
Khanna, or Seraphia as she was often called, stepped out last, her lavender and black streaked hair with silver tips arranged in an elegant style that spoke to her more refined nature among the Arkynorean cousins. She gave Caulifla an appraising look that slowly transformed into approval. "At least he chose someone who can keep up with him in a fight."
Goten, who had been hovering near the door, moved closer to Sarai with a slight blush that didn't go unnoticed by the adults. The young half-Saiyan had clearly grown quite comfortable with the Arkynorean girl during their absence.
Chi-Chi's voice rang out from inside: "Well, don't just stand there! The food's getting cold, and after saving all of existence, I expect you're all hungry!"
"Starving!" Goku announced cheerfully, already making his way inside, though he paused to give his wife a quick kiss that made her previous stern tone soften.
Caulifla found herself being ushered inside by Odyn's family, their acceptance of her immediate and warming. The inside of the Son household had been transformed, with tables groaning under the weight of an enormous feast that combined traditional Earth dishes with what appeared to be Arkynorean delicacies.
"We helped prepare some traditional dishes," Khanna explained to Caulifla, noting her curious glance at some of the more exotic-looking foods. "Though I suspect your Saiyan appetite will make quick work of it all."
Bulma was already pulling up a chair next to where Caulifla would sit, her eyes sparkling with barely contained excitement. "So, about living arrangements..." she began, before Vegeta caught her eye and shook his head slightly – there would be time for planning later.
As everyone settled around the tables, the atmosphere was filled with joy, relief, and the warmth of family – both old and new. The Z fighters shared stories of the tournament's most dramatic moments, while Odyn's siblings and cousin filled in what had been happening on Earth during their absence.
Roy couldn't resist one more quip as he passed a dish to his brother: "Just wait until mother and father hear about this. The firstborn bringing home a warrior from another universe – they'll be thrilled."
Caulifla, despite her usual tough exterior, found herself relaxing into the warm chaos of this extended family gathering. She caught Odyn's eye across the table, and in that moment, they both knew that choosing Universe 7 as their primary home had been the right decision. This wasn't just a victory feast – it was a welcoming celebration for their new future together.
The sounds of laughter and celebration from inside the Son household provided a distant backdrop as Odyn and Caulifla found a quiet moment in the backyard. The stars above seemed to shine with particular brightness, as if the universe itself was marking this moment.
"Caulifla," Odyn began, his flame-orange eyes reflecting the starlight as he turned to face her. "Your confession earlier... it deserves a proper response." His Arkynorean markings pulsed softly in the evening light, betraying his own nervousness despite his usual composure.
The fierce Saiyan warrior who had faced down gods and universe-ending threats found herself holding her breath, her usual brashness giving way to an unfamiliar flutter in her chest.
Odyn reached into his robes, withdrawing a pendant that seemed to capture and reflect light in impossible ways. Its surface bore intricate patterns that resembled the markings on his skin, and at its center sat a crystal that seemed to hold a universe of its own within its depths.
"This pendant," he explained, his melodic voice soft but clear, "was given to me by my father when I was young. In Arkynorean culture, it's our most sacred tradition." His fingers traced the patterns on its surface. "We're given these as children, and we're meant to present them to... to the one we choose to share our lives with."
Caulifla's eyes widened as understanding dawned, her cheeks flushing deep red. "Odyn, are you...?"
From inside the house came the poorly suppressed sounds of multiple people trying very hard to be quiet. A distinct "Shhh!" that sounded suspiciously like Bulma was quickly followed by hurried whispering.
Odyn couldn't help but smile, even as he continued. "I may not have known at first what these feelings were, but watching you fight in the tournament, seeing your strength, your determination, your heart... I know now." He held out the pendant. "In my culture, this is how we ask someone to marry us."
Before Caulifla could respond, a crash came from the direction of the house, followed by multiple voices speaking at once:
"They can't see from that angle!"
"Move over!"
"Goku, your hair's blocking the view!"
"Sorry!"
Caulifla burst out laughing, the tension of the moment breaking. "Is this what I'm signing up for?" she asked, gesturing toward the house where their impromptu audience was failing miserably at stealth.
"This and more," Odyn replied with a warm smile. "Though I believe you've already started to fit right in."
With trembling fingers that she would later deny, Caulifla reached for the pendant. As she touched it, the crystal seemed to respond to her ki, its inner light taking on a warm, golden hue that matched her Super Saiyan energy.
"Yes," she said simply, then added with her characteristic grin, "But don't think this means I'll go easy on you in training."
The pendant now secured around her neck, Caulifla pulled Odyn down for their first kiss, ignoring the eruption of cheers and whistles from the house. The crystal between them pulsed with light, as if blessing the union of Saiyan and Arkynorean, of Universe 6 and Universe 7, of two warriors who had found something worth fighting for beyond mere strength.
From the doorway, Sarai wiped away a tear while Roy pretended he wasn't doing the same. Khanna was already making notes for the ceremony, while the Z fighters and their families celebrated this new chapter in their ever-expanding story.
Above them, the stars of Universe 7 twinkled, perhaps carrying the news to Universe 6 that their fiercest female Saiyan had just committed to bridging their worlds in the most permanent way possible.
