Sam
"Can't we come here another day?" I asked him.
"Nahh! I had two tickets which can be used only for today" Gabriel said.
"Why me?" I asked.
"I needed a company and I thought I would find nobody but you having same brain and vibe as me!" He replied.
"Why are we even in this amusement park, we aren't kids anymore!" I exclaimed.
"Great! You remembered soon, still you act like a child!" He chuckled.
"Okay so as we have come here, forget everything and enjoy" he added in full excitement.
"What about your leg?" I asked looking at his sprained leg.
"I can walk and stand atleast and I have you beside me but if I just tripped you gonna piggybank me" he said with a wide smile.
"It's better I shall leave you here to rot!" I said sounding irritated.
"Expected!" He muttered.
"Let's go!" He said and held my hand led me ahead.
We entered the amusement park, Ferris wheels, Rides, stalls, Games everything was present.
"Let's go on that." I said to him.
"Yeah but first the roller coaster, just don't puke on me after riding it" he said teasingly. I smacked his arm and he flinched and laughed in return.
"Just hold me if you feel like falling, I would always catch you" he said leaning closer whispering in my ear.
My heart started beating like the roller coaster as soon as he got too close to me. Why am I feeling nervous suddenly?
"Are you there Sam?" He asked snapping me out of my thoughts.
We both went on the roller coaster. After locking our seat belts, it started moving. Ups and downs, people screaming and enjoy, some crying because of the speed increase while going down slope. I felt Gabriel grabbing my hand beside me. He's face looked pale! Who was the one saying about puking and be scared? Look at this monkey he already is!
The ride got over and we got off. He still looked pale, no expression at all.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Better now than before!" He said.
We sat on a wooden bench nearby. I handed him water which I was carrying.
"Someone was talking about rise phobias and vomiting in the air I guess" I said in a mocking tone.
"Did I?" He said raising one eyebrow.
"Don't you?" I said raising one eyebrow.
"Let's go on that Ferris wheel" I said pointing and he nodded.
We waited for few minutes for our turn. As soon as the our turn came I jumped in the cabin followed by him. As we sat it started moving and I can't help but feel so happy like I am on the nine clouds. I saw Gabriel staring at me while smiling. His eyes were just on me like I am the only one he can view. Why he admired me everytime.
"Are you this happy everytime you ride a Ferris wheel?" He asked me. The smile still was still present on his face also a smirk followed by next. Sometimes his expressions are hard to understand. Studying his face deeply only can make you understand what he is thinking inside his small brain.
"I love riding on Ferris wheel since I was a child" I said while pouting.
"I see, that's why I brought you in a amusement park" he said while winking to me. I blushed at his words. He knows every corner of me I guess.
The ride ended peacefully. I was so happy today, this guy made my day by bringing me here! I was smiling widely.
"I can bring you here everyday if you smile like that everytime" he laughed and said.
"You are insane!" I replied while rolling my eyes.
"Hey let's go there, the photo booth!" He said and grabbed my hand and ran. He stopped when he was almost going to trip because of his sprained leg.
"You! Why you have to run even when you have twisted your ankle!" I shouted and bend down to rub it little to soother the pain.
"It's better now, let's go" he said and got up and held him from back and made him walk slowly. Doctor said the sprain is not much major and he can walk slowly, that's why he's here or else I won't agree of coming here with his twisted leg. He should have rest! But his Gabriel!
We entered the small booth, I clicked some solo pictures and some together smiling, scrunching noses, poking each other, laughing, making face like a shit everything. I got the print. We both laughed at our antics. The pictures were insane just like us!
"See I said you will surely enjoy" he said while laughing.
"Whatever!" I said and rolled my eyes.
"Let's get something to eat I am hungry" I said.
"Okay, at your service mam!" He said.
We went through the food stalls. Fried chicken, Pop corns with added caramels or salt as you like, chocolate- cotton candy, spring rolls, burger, pizza everything was being sold. I pointed him towards the popcorn and he nodded and went in the line to bring.
"Hey miss, are you alone?" A man popped out of a sudden asking me.
"Nahh! I am with someone!" I replied.
"Ohh sorry I thought you were alone-" he got cut by Gabriel.
"She's not!" He said firmly.
"You leave" he added.
"Are you her brother?" He asked making Gabriel frown at his question.
"She is my Girlfriend man, do you understand now leave us alone now!" He shouted badly making everyone near us stare at us. He held my hand lead me towards a bench. Did he just announced me as hi Girlfriend?
Holding two popcorn baskets he handed me one.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Seems like" I replied and he sighed.
There was a moment of silence between both of us for few minutes. He said nothing. I was just having my popcorn looking at the ground. He broked the silence after few minutes.
"Sam" he called me.
"Hmm" I turned towards him. He did the same.
"Am I just another friend of yours?" He asked. I went silent unable to think what to answer. It's not like I can't answer but I can't figure out what he want to listen from me everytime he repeats this question.
" I am asking something Sam" he said.
I saw him looking straight into my eyes. I tried to maintain the eye contact.
"What do you think?" I asked him.
"I don't know" he said and I sighed.
"You are always the only person who knows me, understands me thoroughly, been with me since long. You are not just a friend but a companion rarely found anywhere. Someone who knows me more than myself, protects me like now. Someone who jokes around, irritates me but still make me smile. So tell me do you still think you are just a friend of mine like others? You belong there where others cannot! You are different Gabriel, different from everyone I met till now."
He remained silent, staring like he is trying to say but can't express.
"Say I am all ears" I said.
" I don't know how to describe this to you but I shall try. I am here everytime you need me, beside you, whenever, wherever or however I am always here. We have been known each other for long and now you have become a character in my life story. I cannot see you wail under any circumstances or leave you alone anywhere. I am always there to protect you, tease you, flirt to you, be with you, support you everything. I can't describe the place you belong in my life, in my heart. It's hard to express something so pure, rare and profound. I don't say this everyday but you are the only one I adore. I hope we remain this still everytime whenever time tries to rip us apart!" He said and i don't know when a tear escaped from the corner of my eyes.
He smiled slightly and wiped of the tear leaning closer, decreasing the distance between us.
How can someone make me vulnerable just by the words?
Am I getting affected to him not just as a friend but something more?
He leaned closer. We both were staring each other. None broke the eye contact and the moment we hold this time. Our time!
He leaned more closer leaving no space left between us. I can feel his breath on my lips so he mine. We were so close to kiss each other. His eyes went down on my eyes and then back to my eyes. He titled his head and I leaned more closer. I cannot deny the moment rising hot between us. It's new. My heart was running a marathon. I think he can even hear it so am his.
"Can I" he muttered, his breath on my lips.
I don't know why but I wanted this and nodded and the next moment we both kissed each other. It was soft, deliberate, like we both were trying to mesmerize each other. The kiss was so slow, smooth and intensifying and honestly I loved it!
He broked the kiss when he felt I was going out of breath. Next we both joined our foreheads. I was still processing about what just happened now! He held my face in his hand slowly, carefully like I would fade if he would drop his hand down.
"I never felt this" he whispered, his breath against my nose.
"Nor did I" I muttered.
"Only you, only you can do this to me" he said still our foreheads joined.
I pulled away to look at his face. He was smiling slightly and i can't help but smile back at him.
