She cleared her throat and walked towards the suspicious man and suddenly grabbed his shirt fiercely.
The man who had been staring at her narrowed his gaze and suddenly went back to having a blank unreadable expression and stared at her. He didn't say anything and this infuriated Brielle to the core.
She suddenly cursed.
"Why were you looking at me like that?" She asked with a gnashing teeth. The man didn't say anything and just bowed his head and before she could predict what he was about to die, he snapped his neck off, killing himself.
Brielle gasped in horror at the man who just snapped his neck off himself. Why did he have to do that? She gasped in horror as she had never seen this. She slowly walked towards his headless body and was about to touch it to see if it was real or not when a hand suddenly grabbed her faster.
It was a woman, Ina. Scarlet's doctor.
"Don't touch him and you aren't supposed to be here. " Her voice was cold and poisonous like a devil.
Brielle frown deeply not understanding what she meant.
"Don't look at me like that. What I meant is you aren't supposed to be here and pls tell Scarlett not to hurt Logan's wife. If not blood will spill". Ina looked extremely worried.
"Why? Do you know my brother's contracted wife personally?"
"I don't need to know her personally to know that you and your friend doesn't like her. Would you believe me if i tell you that Hannah doesn't appear who she appears to be? Would you believe me if i also tell you Hannah might likely be related to your family in some ways?"
Ina had a smirk on her when she saw?the confusion on Brielle's face. She knew people like her are just like those vicious villains in most novels that only plan and execute but at the end of the day, they are always exposed. So what was the point in nurturing and giving them too much information when she knows deep down that after tomorrow, Brielle would never come.back to Sutherland.
Brielle suddenly became confused but she swiftly adjusted her emotions and went back to being nonchalant. She wouldn't falter just because of a mere words. So what if Hannah was related to them? Who cares? Who gives two fucks? She mustered up a courage and smile widely.
"Ms. I don't need you to dictate for me what I should do and not do". Whether or not everything you said is true or not. I will still do what I please. So fuck off and mind your business ". Brielle said coldly and walked away without waiting for her to talk.
Ina pursed her lips hard and was about to leave when the same cold familiar voice sent cold chills down her spine. Her heart beets erratically in her chest in nervousness. Had he overheard their conversation? Will he punish her for spilling too much?
"How can you such a fool Ina?" His masculine cold and ice voice froze her heart in fear. Extreme fear.
Ina didn't dare turn around and look at him. Then the next moment, like a blur, Don had grabbed her neck tightly, strangling her fiercely.
She gagged, breathless as she tried to let go.
"Let...me...." Her voice was choking painfully. She could feel all air leaving her lungs.
She closed her eyes tight waiting for death to consume her but night happened. She slowly opened her weak eyes and froze in horror when she realized that her legs were dangling on air.
Her neck was still being held tightly Don and just a word or is it order from Gregor, he will throw her off a cliff.
She couldn't care anymore but extreme fear had engulf her to the brim that she didn't realize tears slowly streaming down her cheeks like rain.
Don didn't strangle her tightly like before but held her neck firm and carefully as not to kill her.
"Take her to the confinement room". Gregor ordered coldly and heartlessly walked away without sparing her a glance.
Don pushed her to the cold floor making he grunt in pain. She was sure her bone was broken with that hard push.
Her head hit the ground hard as blood seep from her body. She was crying in pain.
"Please beg Gregor, I didn't mean to spill too much. I was just provoked." She begged weakly as more tears rolled down her cheeks. But Don was unfazed and suddenly grabbed her hair violently earning a loud,sharp,shierk scream from her as he dragged her to the confinement room.
Reaching the confinement room, Ina's eyes widened in horror when she saw men dressed in black suits.
Her heart raced painfully and nervously in fear as she knew the reason why she was brought here.
She suddenly grabbed his legs as she begged him.
"Pls, I'm sorry. I won't interfere again". She cried and begged but it fell on deaf ears when Don snapped his fingers and a man came forward with a gun
"Pls––" she begged but her voice was silenced with a rifle.
She was shot dead on the spot.
After killing her, Don closed his eyes as if summoning the courage to hold still but he just couldn't. Even if he denied it, he had always loved Ina but where is love when there is war?
He opened his eyes and stared at the lifeless body of her and walked outside only to see Gregor smoking.
"She is dead". Don said with an indifferent tone. Gregor paused his smoking and turned to look at Don.
"How do you feel?" He asked with a domineering tone.
Even if Don doesn't do or say anything he knew him to well that he wasn't blind not to see the love he had for her.
But truly where is love when there is war? The Fledds have been looking for their twins for some years and also plan on taking the Sutherland from president Santos Winter, but they couldn't go all against the president cause not only was he a leader, but the public will think that they are just jealous and also the president have Logan Emerson and his family with him.
Yesterday, he had sent someone to follow Logan but who would have thought he would bring his contracted wife to a old cemetery and they decided to get even with him by targeting his wife. But who would have also thought that Logan will go as far as protecting her once again.
Could it be Logan is in love with his contracted wife?
