"The Fledds are planning something big, but my men are still working and investigating what they are up to. Also, Gregor is the name of the famous assassin that is working for the Fledds. " Governor Bills explained while the president tapped his fingers on the armrest of the chair.
President Winter just nodded his head. The earlier he invites Mr Emerson, Logan's father, the better for him to fix the marriage. No matter what, whether Logan is married to hundred of women, he must marry Sophie at all cost.
"Get a neurosurgeon to bring back Sophie's memories within a month. For now, don't make her appear in the Emerson, even if Logan can't remember her, Sophie will definitely. " He ordered and the governor nodded. He knew there was more to why the president was so adamant to get Logan and Sophie married apart from the reason that Logan and his family was in support of the current president.
The governor feels there is an hidden secret between those family. But he didn't dare defy the president or be presumptuous.
"It will be done." Governor Bills said.
"Good, if there is nothing else, I will go and take a rest." President Winter said and stood up to leave his private hall. Once he was gone, the governor also left.
In Logan's mansion,
Hannah was in her room as she sat on the bed. The doctor had warned her not to stress her brain so she doesn't have to do another surgery. She will just obey Logan. Well, if he refused to give her a phone and to also leave the mansion, at least he could fulfil his promise of letting her visit her late parents grave. She thought with a sigh. She had so much going through at such a young age. She felt as though fate was testing her. It was doing an exam for a topic you didn't read and it's by luck if one pass the exam.
She stood up and decided to face her fears. If she can't use phone or go out or even asked about her family's well-being, at least she too show respect to the dead by visiting them.
With that thought, she closed her eyes to take a deep breath before opening them. Then she managed to steel her heart. She won't falter.
"Mother, father, I will visit you two soon. Please forgive me for not coming liig enough". She muttered under her breath before leaving the room. She used the staircase to go to the fifth floor even though it was quite stressful and long. After climbing a few rounds of stairs, she was gasping hard for breath. So she waited a while before she calmed down. Once she was calm enough, she continue descending the staircase before finally arriving on the fifth floor.
On reaching there, she went towards the double door that was slightly opened.
Hannah stopped only a few inches sad her heart raced wildly and worriedly in her chest. She was damn so nervous and didn't know what to do.
"Calm down Hannah, the least he will do is say no or punish you for asking to go visit your late parents. So be calm". She chided herself inwardly as she tried to calm her racing heart. If her husband was a vampire he would have already known she was standing outside his study room and feeling conflicted to enter. But she was glad he wasn't one and moreover vampires aren't real. She reminded herself. With that, she slowly pushed the door opened and walked inside without knocking.
The moment she stepped inside, a knife flew towards her making her scream and jolt in fear. She jumped away as quick as she could to prevent the knife from cutting her.
"Damn this man, did he really hate her that her presence alone cause him to also try to kill he?" She grumbled as she felt a sharp pain on her head.
"Oh no, she shouldn't faint, knowing her heartless husband will rush her to the hospital." So she steadied herself and slowly walked towards the table in front of her.
Logan had been stunned the moment the knife almost touched her. His heart had skipped in worry thinking it will hurt, but to his utter relief, she was smart enough to escape being cut. But as usual, he didn't reveal his expression and why is she suddenly here? Does she wished to be punished?
His eyes fell on her and realized her that she was nervous.
Hannah slowly sat down on the chair opposite him.
"This woman, is definitely seeking for punishment, who the hell asked her to sit?" Logan was seriously amused as he watched how Hannah confidently say on his chair.
His expression was unreadable but he was greatly amused.
Hannah felt her heart almost jumped out of her chest with the way Logan was staring at her blankly. She knew she was crossing the line, but does she care? She already faced physical and mental punishment from him, so she doesn't mind being punished again by him until he accepts her request to visit her late parents grave if not, she won't let him be. She thought before she summoned the courage to talk to him about her request.
"Uhm, Logan I'm sorry for barging into your study room and also not asking for permission to sit down. I know you are pissed, but please don't forget you accepted my offer of letting me visiting my late parents grave."she rushed her sentences that almost had the man scoff at her uneasiness. But his expression remains blank.
"Go ahead and say what you want to say". He urged her.
"Can I visit my late parents grave this night?" She asked and Logan almost said yes. But he refrained himself from saying yes.
He will make her beg him. With that thought, he rejected her coldly and bluntly.
"You said weekends and today isn't weekend. Today is Thursday ".
Hannah felt her heart shattered at his strong refusal and slowly stood up. She had come here with a glimmer of hope, but the hope was violently killed without prior warning.
