Chapter 124 - Chapter 124 – The Small Space, Entering Dragon Valley

"By the way," Gu Yuena suddenly asked, "how did you know someone was coming to attack us—and that it was a Limit-level Soul Master?"

Yunze smiled faintly. "Intuition. My perception is rather sharp. Whenever danger approaches, I can sense it in advance."

"With me carrying a soul tool containing Ditian's attack, to still give me such a strong sense of crisis—it could only have been a Limit Douluo. No other level could do that."

"I see." Gu Yuena nodded, her eyes flashing coldly. "I didn't expect someone to target us so soon after we left."

"I wonder which faction it was. Once we find out, we'll wipe them out completely."

"There aren't many Limit Douluo on this continent," Yunze said. "And even fewer who bear grudges against us. Since this is the Star Luo Continent, who do you think it could be?"

"That so-called Ghost Emperor," Gu Yuena replied almost immediately.

"Most likely him," Yunze agreed. Although he didn't rule out other forces, the Ghost Emperor had the strongest motive.

"Ghost Emperor… Holy Spirit Cult…" Gu Yuena's killing intent surged. She silently vowed to destroy that organization in the future.

Yunze took two black tokens from his storage ring and handed them to her. "If you run into danger, remember to use these."

"You still have some on you, right?" Gu Yuena hesitated to take them, worried he was giving her everything.

"I still have two usable ones," Yunze replied.

"Good." Gu Yuena smiled and accepted the tokens.

Yunze looked around. "Let's not fly anymore—it makes us too obvious. We'll go on foot."

After swallowing Concealment Pills, both of them could hide not only their cultivation but even their aura. With their energy suppressed, they were indistinguishable from ordinary people—no one could track them by spiritual sense, only by sight. The pursuer earlier must have followed them the entire way; it would've been impossible to find them otherwise.

"Alright," Gu Yuena said without objection.

The two began walking, avoiding the main roads to remain unseen, choosing smaller trails and forested paths instead.

Three days later, Yunze and Gu Yuena arrived in a range of nameless mountains.

"The sensation is very strong now," Gu Yuena said, scanning the surroundings. "The thing calling to me should be somewhere nearby."

Yunze looked up at the sky, feeling spatial distortions in the area. After a moment of concentration, he said,"There's a special small space up in the sky. Whatever's attracting you is probably inside it."

Gu Yuena lifted her gaze, staring for a long time. "It really does feel like it's up there," she murmured.

"Let's go take a look."

Yunze unfurled his Phoenix Wings, while Gu Yuena spread her Nine-Colored Dragon Wings, and the two soared upward. As they approached, Gu Yuena's heartbeat quickened uncontrollably—the strange pull grew stronger. At about five to six hundred meters high, they stopped, hovering midair.

Yunze could clearly sense a spatial distortion just above them.Gu Yuena reached out tentatively—her hand met nothing but air, yet she could feel the disturbance.

They could keep flying upward without issue, but that wasn't the point. What they needed to figure out was how to open the passage into that hidden space.

"This entrance requires a huge amount of energy to open. The two of us alone can't do it," Gu Yuena said with some disappointment. She then pulled out a soul-guide communicator to call Ditian, who was also searching for small spaces elsewhere.

Yunze didn't stop her. He did have a method to open the portal, but summoning Ditian would save him the trouble of carving the array himself.

"Beep… beep…" The communicator returned a failed-connection tone. She tried again—still nothing.

Gu Yuena frowned deeply. "Could something have happened to Ditian?" she muttered, a sense of dread welling up.

Only two possibilities existed: either Ditian had met misfortune and his communicator was destroyed,or he had left the Star Luo Continent and gone beyond communication range. But the latter was unlikely—if he were leaving, he would have informed her first.

"With Ditian's strength, I doubt he's in danger," Yunze said after a moment's thought."Maybe he entered another small space—that could explain why we can't reach him."

"If that's the case, he should have told us first instead of recklessly going in," Gu Yuena replied."I reminded him before—once he found a small space, he must report to us immediately."

"With his temperament, he wouldn't disobey that," she said firmly.

"I don't know," Yunze admitted. "Maybe he stumbled into it by accident and didn't have time to send a message."

Gu Yuena nodded slightly. "That's possible… Then what do we do now?"

Without Ditian, they couldn't enter the space even though they had found it.

"I'll carve a spatial-breaking array," Yunze said. He brought Gu Yuena down onto a nearby mountain peak.

Gu Yuena used her control over earth elements to flatten the uneven summit, making it easier for Yunze to work.He began engraving complex runes across the mountaintop—a formation designed to open spatial passages. It wasn't overly difficult, but still took about five or six hours to complete.

The ground became covered in intricate glowing lines, forming mysterious patterns that radiated faint power.

After resting and restoring his soul power, Yunze formed a series of hand seals to activate the array. The lines lit up dimly at first, then flared brilliantly after a few seconds.

Boom!A column of light several meters wide shot into the sky, halting around five to six hundred meters above. It looked as though it had struck something invisible—space itself cracked at the point of impact.

The rift widened with each pulse, soon large enough for people to pass through.

"Let's go." Yunze signaled, and together they flew into the glowing fissure.

As they entered, the light faded and the rift slowly closed, sealing completely. The sky returned to normal as if nothing had happened.

Inside the crack, a wave of distortion struck them, followed by a sudden loss of gravity—they were falling.Gu Yuena felt a strange repulsive force pushing her upward, trying to eject her from the space. But that force was quickly neutralized by another—one that felt warm and familiar to her.

Yunze, however, felt neither rejection nor warmth. Instead, a mysterious energy seemed to act directly on his martial spirit.

"There's a power here suppressing the use of martial spirits," he murmured. He didn't even need to test it—the disappearance of his Phoenix Wings proved it.

Without their martial spirits, their wings vanished, and they continued to descend deeper into the unknown.
