Yun Ze continued observing the soul spirits inside the container. After scanning through them quickly, he found twelve fire-attribute soul spirits, but none seemed suitable.
He moved toward another device, which contained even more soul spirits, including some purple ones.
"There was a Flame Lion King soul spirit in the previous one—it should be a good match for you," the Hall Master commented.
The Flame Lion King was considered a top-tier fire-attribute soul beast, and at six hundred years old, it was a relatively good choice.
Yun Ze didn't respond, focusing instead on the soul spirits in the device. Soon, he spotted one that met his expectations.
"I want this one," Yun Ze pointed at a faint purple-colored soul spirit.
The Hall Master followed Yun Ze's gaze, and when he saw the purple soul spirit, his expression changed slightly. He seriously warned:
"This is a millennial soul spirit, containing far more energy than a centennial one.
"Even if you have innate rank 20 soul power, your body likely won't be able to endure a millennial soul spirit. You should pick another one."
However, he couldn't help but admire Yun Ze's sharp eye for picking quality.
"This Blazing Nine-Headed Bird is of much higher quality than the Flame Lion King.
"Like your Phoenix martial soul, it is also an avian-type soul beast. If you can absorb it, the benefits will definitely surpass those of other soul spirits.
"But it's a millennial soul spirit—your body simply won't be able to handle it." The Hall Master sighed regretfully.
Yun Ze, however, remained firm. "Hall Master, I'll take the Blazing Nine-Headed Bird. Where do I pay?"
He was absolutely certain he could absorb this soul spirit.
Any avian beast would be suppressed before him. Compared to other centennial soul spirits, this millennial one might actually pose even less of a challenge.
"You're serious?" The Hall Master frowned.
"Of course. I don't joke around. Please take it out for me," Yun Ze insisted.
The Hall Master hesitated for a moment but eventually stopped trying to dissuade him. He pressed a button on the device, causing a list of soul spirits to appear on the screen.
He scrolled through the options, flipped past several pages, and finally found the Blazing Nine-Headed Bird. He selected it.
Inside the machine, the Blazing Nine-Headed Bird soul spirit was drawn toward the exit by energy.
A few dozen seconds later, a purple soul spirit orb, roughly the size of a grapefruit, rolled out.
The Hall Master used soul power to levitate the orb and handed it to Yun Ze.
"This soul spirit costs 28 million Federal Coins.
"But since we have such a good connection, I'll personally cover 8 million for you. You only need to pay 20 million."
Yun Ze knew this was an attempt to win him over.
However, since he wasn't lacking money, he didn't want to owe any favors. He shook his head and refused.
"Hall Master, let's stick to the original price."
He took the soul spirit orb, stored it in his spatial soul tool, and walked out of the room.
Every floor of the Spirit Pagoda had a payment area. He wasn't planning to take the soul spirit without paying—he was heading to the counter to settle the bill.
"This kid…" The Hall Master shook his head helplessly. It seemed this little one wasn't so easy to recruit.
Yun Ze had already seen the payment area before, so he didn't need anyone to guide him. He went directly to the counter, took out his Federal Savings Card, and paid.
A few minutes later, Yun Ze left the Spirit Pagoda, boarded the waiting soul car, and headed back to his residence.
However, shortly after he departed, a person emerged from the Spirit Pagoda, got into a private soul car, and followed in his direction.
Spirit Pagoda, 13th Floor
At the window, the Hall Master watched Yun Ze leave.
He then picked up the soul communicator on his desk and dialed a number.
"Tower Master, this is Meng Yun. I have something urgent to report…" The Hall Master, Meng Yun, spoke respectfully.
"You're certain?" A voice filled with disbelief came from the other end of the line after Meng Yun finished explaining.
"Absolutely certain. I personally assessed the boy's soul power. I am 100% sure his innate soul power is rank 20—there is no mistake."
There was a long silence on the other end.
Finally, the voice spoke again, "Find that boy's location immediately. I will send people over to deal with this."
"I've already sent someone to follow him," Meng Yun replied.
At that moment, the person assigned to trail Yun Ze was still tracking the soul car, unaware that Yun Ze had already vanished.
Inside a five-story building, Yun Ze was walking alongside a black-robed man.
The man appeared to be in his forties, had a handsome yet stern face, and a strand of golden hair draped over the side of his forehead.
This man was Di Tian, the Black Dragon King.
The reason Yun Ze appeared here was entirely thanks to Di Tian.
While in the car, Di Tian had torn through space, teleporting them here.
The two walked side by side into a large room on the fifth floor.
Inside, several individuals were already waiting.
As soon as they entered, everyone inside stood up in unison.
The room was simply furnished, featuring a long rectangular table in the center, about seven meters long and three meters wide.
Along both sides were custom-sized wooden chairs that accommodated different body sizes.
At the head of the table, two wooden chairs were set apart.
One of them was already occupied by a stunning young girl.
She was exceptionally beautiful.
Her flawless face resembled a masterpiece carved from white jade, her eyes gleamed like violet gemstones, making her look like a perfect work of art without any imperfections.
Her long silver hair cascaded down her back.
As she stood up, her full bosom, slender waist, and long legs were elegantly revealed.
She appeared to be around thirteen or fourteen years old, exuding a youthful, energetic charm.
She wore a fitted white robe, giving her an aura of sacredness and nobility.
"Miss," Di Tian immediately bowed respectfully upon seeing her.
Yun Ze, however, walked straight toward the girl.
"Mm," the girl nodded, her gaze falling on Yun Ze.
She smiled faintly, her pleasant voice ringing out:
"It's been a while."
Yun Ze, now standing next to her, had to tilt his head up to look at the 1.6-meter-tall girl from his own 1.1-meter height.
He glanced at her and smiled.
"Two months or so. That counts as a while, doesn't it?"
"How's life at Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy?"
Hearing this question, the girl's lips curled into a satisfied smile.
"It's been great. My spiritual power has reached Spirit Abyss Realm (Mid-Stage).
"With my powerful spirit and rank 41 soul power, I can now create rank 6 soul tools."
"Thirteen years old, a rank 6 Soul Engineer. That breaks the thousands-of-years-old record of Sun Moon Academy and the entire Soul Engineer world."
As she spoke, she likely didn't realize—her tone carried a clear sense of pride, as if she were seeking praise.
At these words, Di Tian, seated at the left of the table, and the other individuals all revealed expressions of joy.
This girl—Gu Yuena.
She was the Silver Dragon King.
A former deity, now in human form.
Even without cultivation, her soul power would naturally soar at an unprecedented rate.
That was simply the nature of a divine being.
