Kyoraku Shunsui, who had been reluctant to partner with Kenpachi Kiganjō, chuckled, "Captain Kenpachi Kiganjō's strength is terrifying. I doubt my presence is even necessary."
Yamamoto Genryūsai, no longer insisting, nodded. "Very well. Captain Kenpachi Kiganjō will handle the unusual spiritual pressure emanating from the northeast alone."
With the Captain-Commander's order, the participating captains immediately departed, while the remaining captains stayed behind to defend the Seireitei.
Back at the Technical Development Bureau, Aizen summoned his most trusted assistant, Yomei Kagawa.
Observing Yomei's perpetually deadpan expression, Aizen recounted the discussion from the Captain-Commander's meeting.
He then instructed, "Yomei, go to Rukongai and retrieve an Arrancar's body for me. If the opportunity doesn't present itself, find a frenzied Hollow."
Yomei, without hesitation, left the barracks and headed towards Rukongai.
"Yomei Kagawa, truly a perfect subordinate," Aizen remarked, watching Yomei's departing figure.
Yomei possessed considerable strength and executed orders flawlessly, never questioning Aizen's motives. Aizen was highly pleased with Yomei's performance, even surpassing Gin Ichimaru.
At the Thirteenth Division barracks, Renji and his group, having just returned with Shiba Kaien, were chatting with their comrades.
"Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku."
Renji, a mischievous smile playing on his lips, calmly extended his hand, mimicking the posture of Yusuke performing a Kidō spell.
He then subtly pushed up his glasses, imitating Yusuke's mannerisms and tone. "Really, you almost hurt my precious subordinates."
Inspired by Yusuke's effortless display of power, Renji fantasized about emulating such nonchalant dominance, leading him to spontaneously imitate Yusuke.
Momo, witnessing this, shook her head in amusement. "Renji, you haven't even captured one-tenth of Captain's demeanor."
Shiba Kaien laughed, clapping Renji on the shoulder. "I'm unmoved; in fact, I find it rather amusing."
Renji, losing his composure, grabbed Shiba Kaien's collar. "What do you mean 'a little amusing'? Your laughter could be heard ten miles away!"
Normally, no probationary Shinigami would dare speak to a Gotei 13 vice-captain like that, even from a different division.
However, Shiba Kaien's exceptionally approachable and straightforward nature resonated with Renji, and they had quickly become close friends.
A gentle voice interrupted them.
"Aren't these the Third Division members?"
It was Ukitake, returning to his barracks after the Captain-Commander's meeting.
Seeing Ukitake, Renji released Shiba Kaien's collar, his earlier boldness replaced with deference. Although Ukitake was one of the most approachable captains, the title itself held inherent authority.
Noticing Renji's sudden restraint, Ukitake smiled. "No need to be so tense, everyone. Just relax. Renji, your pose was quite interesting. Why did you stop?"
Ukitake, arriving at the barracks, had seen Renji imitating Yusuke from afar. Ukitake's words caused Renji to blush, unexpectedly shy.
Shiba Kaien chuckled. "Captain Ukitake, we owe our survival to the Third Division's assistance. Captain Uchiha's strength was truly eye-opening."
Shiba Kaien recounted the events: the Hollow ambush, Nagato Yū's rescue, the appearance of the Arrancar, and Yusuke's swift defeat of the Arrancar. Ukitake was both relieved and astonished.
While aware of Captain Uchiha's considerable strength, Shiba Kaien's account suggested that Yusuke's power surpassed even his own.
Clearing his throat, Ukitake smiled. "I'll have to thank Captain Uchiha properly when he returns."
Shiba Kaien laughed. "You'll have to wait your turn, Captain. I want to invite Captain Uchiha to the Shiba estate as well!"
Meanwhile, in the ruins of Rukongai, a silver-haired man in a captain's haori confronted a female Arrancar.
The silver-haired man, his eyes seemingly half-closed, wore a chilling, serpentine smile. It was Gin Ichimaru, captain of the Fifth Division.
The female Arrancar had long golden hair, a beautiful face, a curvaceous figure, and a bone mask resembling an eagle's head. She was Devicca, one of Gonaldo's accomplices.
"My, my, so it's Arrancar causing trouble in Soul Society. I wonder what brings you here instead of staying in Hueco Mundo?" Gin Ichimaru asked, his smile strained.
During his previous trip to Hueco Mundo with Aizen, Gin Ichimaru had encountered Arrancar. Aizen had explained how rare their creation was.
His thoughts mirrored Aizen's earlier suspicions—these Arrancar were likely under the Hueco Mundo king's command.
He secretly suspected that the Hueco Mundo king was planning an attack on Soul Society.
Devicca sneered. "We'll return to Hueco Mundo, but first, we'll destroy the Seireitei. Your uniform marks you as a Gotei 13 captain. Eliminating you will significantly weaken the Gotei 13."
Gin Ichimaru's expression remained unchanged, but he inwardly scoffed.
These Arrancar were incredibly naive. The Seireitei held far more power than just the Gotei 13. And even the Gotei 13 alone was far beyond the capabilities of a few Arrancar to overcome.
"How dreadful. Let me witness your skills," Gin Ichimaru said, his smirk widening.
Facing this unnervingly smiling Shinigami, Devicca felt an inexplicable chill.
"This guy isn't an ordinary Shinigami!" Devicca instinctively sensed.
