Hearing Ulquiorra Cifer's words, Yusuke Uchiha mused that he truly embodied the Hollow's characteristic "emptiness"—a negative emotion.

Having only recently become idle, he was already restless and seeking a new task.

No one would have guessed that Ulquiorra Cifer's cold exterior concealed such a restless spirit, explaining why Aizen always assigned him tasks.

Las Noches, being a compassionate organization, and Yusuke Uchiha, considering himself a caring leader, couldn't refuse to provide his subordinate with opportunities for self-improvement.

With a slight smirk, Yusuke Uchiha smiled. "In that case, I do have two important tasks for you."

Ulquiorra Cifer's expression remained unchanged, but a flicker of delight crossed his eyes. Yusuke Uchiha then detailed the two tasks.

The first was assisting Mayuri Kurotsuchi in finding suitable test subjects for research aimed at enhancing Arrancar abilities.

The second concerned the reorganization of the Espada.

The current Espada possessed vastly different strengths; some were unworthy of the title, diminishing the Espada's overall standing.

Yusuke Uchiha decided to create an Espada reserve team. Ulquiorra Cifer would find promising Hollows, who, after Arrancarization, would challenge existing Espada members.

Victors would become new Espada; losers would join the reserve team or receive other assignments.

While this would impact the Espada, it wouldn't affect Ulquiorra Cifer, a Vasto Lorde-class Arrancar; only the weaker, lower-ranked Espada would be threatened.

Yusuke Uchiha's management differed from Aizen's; unlike Aizen, he didn't number the Arrancars, nor did he allow lower-ranked members to challenge superiors for their positions.

While Yusuke Uchiha's approach was more humane and fostered team cohesion, it created a sense of complacency among the Espada.

The reserve team would address this, instilling a sense of urgency and encouraging self-improvement to avoid being replaced.

Ulquiorra Cifer readily accepted the task, promising to find Espada-worthy replacements.

After Ulquiorra Cifer departed, Yusuke Uchiha used Kamui to return to the Seireitei in Soul Society.

Under the cover of darkness, Yusuke Uchiha secretly visited Hegawa Miler, his planted spy.

Despite being an orphan from Rukongai with no personal assets in Soul Society, Hegawa Miler, as the 4th Seat of the 5th Division, was entitled to a comfortable private apartment in the Seireitei.

Yusuke Uchiha found Hegawa Miler, a handsome young man in a Shinigami uniform, with short black hair, holding a slender katana, meditating cross-legged on a zabuton.

Yusuke Uchiha considered Hegawa Miler to possess even greater talent than Hitsugaya Tōshirō.

Sensing someone's presence, Hegawa Miler's closed eyes snapped open, his eyes blazing with an intense light.

His ki instantly locked onto Yusuke Uchiha, whose spiritual pressure was concealed by his Kamui-enhanced Hollow form. His right hand instinctively moved to his Zanpakutō's hilt, ready to draw.

This inexplicable perceptiveness, similar to Kenpachi Zaraki's ability to sense powerful opponents, allowed him to detect even concealed presences—a crucial reason for choosing him as a spy.

Upon recognizing Yusuke Uchiha, Hegawa Miler's expression returned to normal; the intense light in his eyes faded, replaced by a vacant stare.

Yusuke Uchiha pulled Hegawa Miler into Kamui space and asked, "How's it going? Has Aizen shown any interest in recruiting you?"

Hegawa Miler shook his head. "Aizen is very cunning. He's guided my kendo practice a few times, but there's been no further contact."

Yusuke Uchiha wasn't surprised; Aizen was extremely cautious. His centuries-long scheme in Soul Society had only produced two true subordinates—Kaname Tōsen and Gin Ichimaru—demonstrating his reluctance to recruit others from the Gotei 13, fearing exposure.

"Things might change soon. He might need to expand his forces; be prepared," Yusuke Uchiha said slowly.

Hegawa Miler nodded; he only needed to execute his mission.

After briefing Hegawa Miler, Yusuke Uchiha left.

If Hegawa Miler was indeed recruited by Aizen, there would be a lengthy observation period; Yusuke Uchiha needed to minimize contact.

Soon after, as Yusuke Uchiha predicted, Gin Ichimaru initiated contact with Hegawa Miler, who cooperated by expressing interest in joining Aizen's ranks.

Simultaneously, Aizen began collecting souls throughout Soul Society—not just stray souls from Rukongai, but also numerous Shinigami from the Gotei 13.

This brazen collection was driven by the need for numerous Shinigami souls for the White experiments, which were reaching a critical stage, and also by Aizen's desire to gain greater control over the Gotei 13!

He needed to eliminate several Gotei 13 captains to allow himself, Kaname Tōsen, and Gin Ichimaru to ascend to captain positions.

When the widespread disappearance of souls became apparent, the Gotei 13 launched an investigation, led by the 8th Division, responsible for intelligence.

However, the investigation yielded no clues, and the disappearances continued, alarming the Seireitei's high command.

Under pressure from the Central 46, the Gotei 13, after deliberation, decided to send the 9th Division as a vanguard to the areas with the most significant soul disappearances.

Yusuke Uchiha observed Aizen's actions and the Gotei 13's response, unnoticed; a crow, devoid of spiritual pressure, continuously circled above the Seireitei.
