Seated upon the throne of Las Noches, Yusuke Uchiha contemplated his next steps for increasing his power.
Having just completed his daily training in the Dangai, and finding his spiritual pressure stagnant, Yusuke Uchiha once again marveled at Ichigo Kurosaki's incredible potential.
It was a level of potential he couldn't hope to match—indeed, no one in the Shinigami world could.
Since further increases in spiritual pressure seemed temporarily impossible, Yusuke Uchiha decided to focus on developing his Ryūjin Jakka and Kidō abilities to enhance his combat strength.
Entering his inner world, Yusuke Uchiha summoned Ryūjin Jakka.
"Ryūjin Jakka, I've mastered 'Zanka no Tachi, Higashi: Kyokujitsujin.' Surely you can teach me the remaining techniques now!" Yusuke Uchiha demanded.
Ryūjin Jakka slowly materialized, its form identical to Yusuke Uchiha's.
"I've already taught you everything I can. To further enhance my power, you must develop your own techniques," Ryūjin Jakka replied.
Yusuke Uchiha frowned. "From my understanding, Zanka no Tachi has three other techniques."
Ryūjin Jakka smirked. "Those three techniques don't belong to me, and they certainly shouldn't belong to you."
It turned out that Ryūjin Jakka's Bankai, Zanka no Tachi, originally possessed only one technique: Higashi: Kyokujitsujin.
The initially used "Gōka no Tachi" form was merely an incomplete version of Higashi: Kyokujitsujin.
Both Gōka no Tachi and Higashi: Kyokujitsujin involved compressing and sealing flames and spiritual pressure into the Zanpakutō, greatly enhancing its power.
However, Gōka no Tachi's sealed flame power was incomplete, resulting in a fiery explosion upon impact. While expanding the damage area, it didn't fully maximize the flame's potential.
Asahi no Ichigeki, on the other hand, perfectly seals the flame within the blade; upon impact, it obliterates the target with power beyond measurable temperature, essentially elevating "fire" to the level of a "rule."
A millennium ago, after mastering Asahi no Ichigeki, Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni, based on Zanka no Tachi's capabilities, developed three additional techniques: Zanka no Tachi, Nishi: Zanjitsu Gokui, Zanka no Tachi, Minami: Kaka Jūman'okushi Daisōjin, and Zanka no Tachi, Kita: Tenchi Kaijin.
He then assigned the four techniques to the cardinal directions.
Ryūjin Jakka refused to teach Yusuke Uchiha these three techniques because they weren't its own, but Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni's creations.
Understanding this, Yusuke Uchiha nodded and didn't press further. He preferred developing his own abilities rather than using others'.
Beyond his Zanpakutō, Yusuke Uchiha also considered developing new Kidō spells.
Kidō wasn't static; it involved numerous techniques, such as "a technique to use enemy attacks against them", "Double Chanting" and "Post-Chanting" to enhance power, and more.
Experienced Kidō users often employed "Chant Abandonment" to cast spells without chanting.
Beyond techniques, Kidō spells and chants contained unique spiritual energy principles; mastering these allowed for the creation of original Kidō.
The first Kenpachi, Retsu Unohana, after abandoning the title and joining the 4th Division to focus on healing Kidō, invented her unique "Kaidō," with powerful healing capabilities.
The 0th Division captain, Ichibe'e Hyōsube, known for combat, refined Hadō, creating "Inner Hadō."
For Yusuke Uchiha, who had always been keen on developing ninjutsu, developing Kidō had long been a goal, but spiritual pressure training took precedence.
Now, with his spiritual pressure at its peak, it was the perfect time to develop new techniques. Kidō spells incorporated unique Shinigami spiritual energy, making them usable only by Shinigami.
Hollows, Quincy, and even spiritually gifted humans couldn't use Kidō. This suggested that Kidō's creators were staunch supporters of Shinigami orthodoxy.
However, this limitation restricted Kidō's full potential.
Yusuke Uchiha planned a different approach for new Kidō—spells usable solely through spiritual energy. His forces included both Shinigami and Hollows, and might one day encompass Quincy and humans.
With his decision made, Yusuke Uchiha dedicated himself to developing new Ryūjin Jakka techniques and original Kidō spells. He also spent time training his Shinigami forces.
He paid particular attention to the young souls destined to become spies in the Seireitei.
Fifty years passed swiftly. While a significant portion of a human lifespan, it was a relatively short time for Shinigami and Hollows.
By then, Yusuke Uchiha's spies, having infiltrated Rukongai, had been selected for the Shin'ō Academy.
After decades of training at the Shin'ō Academy, these spies all successfully graduated and joined various Gotei 13 divisions.
To train these spies, Yusuke Uchiha even stole numerous Spirit Cores from Soul Society, creating artificial Spirit Core hot springs in Hueco Mundo. Tenkui Springs, where he'd visited with Kisuke Urahara, was among those "liberated."
The idea to steal Spirit Cores had come to him after his visit to Tenkui Springs with Kisuke Urahara. He waited several years to act, fearing suspicion.
These artificial Spirit Core hot springs provided a gentle means for the young souls to enhance their spiritual pressure and abilities, further boosting their already considerable talent.
The twenty youths who joined the Gotei 13, despite their relatively short training period, all became Seated Officers.
Many captains marveled at the Gotei 13's sudden influx of talent, and Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni was pleased.
However, they were unaware that most of these talented individuals originated from Hueco Mundo!
Among the twenty spies, the most outstanding were Nagato Yū and Kagawa Mirei.
Nagato Yū joined the 6th Division, becoming a Seated Officer under Yusuke Uchiha, assisting with daily tasks and freeing Yusuke Uchiha to focus on Hueco Mundo.
Kagawa Mirei joined the 5th Division, his mission being to approach Sōsuke Aizen, then still a lieutenant in the 5th Division.
