Ojama King, Summon!
[Ojama King, DEF 3000]
"Ojama King?" Kohara instantly grew nervous.
If it were before, seeing the Ojama combination might have made him question—aren't they just fodder? How could anyone actually use such fodder?
However, ever since the Ojama Trio, with Cosmic Cyclone, hammered the legendary Paradox Brothers into instant self-sealing, no one in the Academy dared to underestimate this comedic combination, or to be more precise, this comedic combination when it was in Yusaku Fujiki's hands.
Anything that appeared in this person's hands, no matter how unreliable it seemed, was bound to be problematic. This had become everyone's consensus within the Academy.
"The effect of Ojama King, as long as this card exists on the field, select up to three of your opponent's Monster Zones that cannot be used," Yusaku Fujiki said. "You have two remaining Monster Zones on your field.
Therefore, seal those two remaining zones."
Indeed!
Kohara's face turned grim.
It was a Monster Zone lockdown strategy!
Ojama King let out a loud roar, and the black and green Ojama brothers immediately flew out, squatted in the opponent's only two remaining spaces, claimed them as their own, and refused to leave.
Ohara was instantly dumbfounded: "Ah, this... this way we can't summon any more monsters..."
"Tsk, a sinister tactic." Kohara, hidden behind the scenes, gritted his teeth.
As expected of "that person" from Ra Yellow, it was indeed a method befitting his style.
"Then I Normal Summon 'Ballista Squad' in Defense Position."
[Ballista Squad, DEF 1000]
"I set two more cards, and end my turn."
Ohara asked quietly, "There are no more spaces, what do we do?"
Kohara pondered.
Four Monster Zones were sealed in one go, essentially locking down most summons. The silver lining in this misfortune was that they at least still had a "Hyper Hammerhead" on the field that could attack, and if they drew a five or six-star Tribute Monster, they could still Tribute Summon by offering Hyper Hammerhead.
But for now, there were no Tribute Monsters in hand.
"Tsk, I'll draw a card first." Kohara said.
Ohara nodded: "My turn, draw!"
After drawing a new card, Kohara's eyes lit up.
An opportunity!
"I'll use this!" Kohara commanded.
So Ohara executed without hesitation: "Activate the Quick-Play Spell 'Mystical Space Typhoon'! Destroy the Continuous Spell 'Burning Land'!"
Burning Land is a Continuous Spell that remains on the field after activation; once it's blown away, its effect is also lifted, and then their two sealed Monster Zones would revive, allowing them to further Summon new monsters.
A storm swept across the field, and Yusaku Fujiki's backrow Spell was shattered by lightning. The broken field also returned to its original state.
"Excellent, now we can perform Monster Summons again!" Kohara's spirits lifted, and he continued to give instructions, "Then we'll proceed with Summoning—"
"Activate the Trap 'Ojama Duo'," Yusaku Fujiki said. "Special Summon two 'Ojama Tokens' to the opponent's field."
[Ojama Token, DEF 1000] x2
As soon as the sunken ground recovered, two Ojama Tokens immediately rushed in to fill the gaps, their speed and practiced movements astonishing.
Kohara: "..."
Crap (a plant).
As a result, the situation remained unchanged; the only difference was that their two Spell-sealed zones were now occupied by two annoying Tokens, and the inability to summon monsters remained unresolved.
"Damn it… In that case, I'll attack with Hyper Hammerhead!" Kohara ordered.
Ohara complied. Hyper Hammerhead roared and charged forward, targeting Yusaku Fujiki's Ballista Squad in Defense Position.
"Then I activate another Trap, Skull Invitation."
Yusaku Fujiki smiled and snapped his fingers.
"With Skull Invitation, I seal the attack of 'Hyper Hammerhead.' As long as this card exists, the bound monster cannot attack or change its battle position."
The unlucky dinosaur crashed into the spiked wheel, and its entire body was directly locked onto it, screaming and unable to move.
"Aaaah!" Kohara raged.
Their only monster couldn't attack, and they couldn't summon new ones. And those Ojama projections on the field were getting more and more irritating to look at…
Ohara: "Kohara, we..."
"Shut up!" Kohara snapped.
Ohara: "..."
Sitting in the back row, Bastion Misawa was momentarily speechless watching this familiar scene.
He didn't know when it started, but this type of duel, characteristic of Yusaku Fujiki, no longer struck him as strange; he just occasionally felt a bit of sympathy for the opponent.
Of course, he had already understood Yusaku Fujiki's "deduction" earlier in the day: the true identity of the spider monster who hunted rare cards was actually Ohara from Ra Yellow. The one dueling openly was the masked Ohara, but the one giving instructions behind the scenes was the hidden Kohara.
These two were inseparable every day, with a bond like true brothers, which was probably why they could coordinate so perfectly.
But now, looking at this scene, Bastion Misawa suddenly worried for no reason. With Yusaku Fujiki as an opponent, would their ship of friendship capsize tonight?
Just then, Alexis Rhodes's voice appeared behind him: "What's going on?"
"Alexis Rhodes?" Bastion Misawa turned around.
"I just happened to be passing by and heard the commotion here—"
Alexis Rhodes glanced over, saw Yusaku Fujiki dueling and the several Ojama projections on the opponent's field, and suddenly seemed to understand something.
"This time's victim… ah, no, who is the duelist?"
She accidentally misspoke, but Bastion Misawa didn't find anything wrong with it. He just said, "It's the spider monster duelist who's been hunting Obelisk Blue students, the one everyone in the Academy's been talking about lately."
"I see, how tragic," Alexis Rhodes said.
Bastion Misawa also nodded in agreement.
Of course, they both knew that "tragic" definitely referred to the spider monster.
"Now, my turn, draw a card.
First, I activate the Spell Card 'Pot of Greed,' drawing two more cards from my Deck."
Yusaku Fujiki drew cards.
"During the Standby Phase, I activate the effects of 'Ballista Squad' and 'Skull Invitation.' These two cards each inflict 600 and 500 points of damage to the opponent during the Standby Phase, for a total of 1100 points of damage."
[Ohara, LP 4000 → LP 2900]
"Damn it… Seal the Monster Zones, and then try to slowly wear us down and kill us like this?" Kohara gritted his teeth.
"Next, I Normal Summon 'Submarineoid'."
[Submarineoid, ATK 800]
The invincible Submarineoid appeared, with its usual contemptuous gaze.
"Submarineoid can attack the opponent directly." Yusaku Fujiki waved his hand. "Go, torpedo shot!"
A personalized torpedo missile hit Ohara in the face, causing him to groan and stagger back half a step.
[Ohara, LP 2900 → LP 2100]
"Damn it, ahhh!"
Kohara continued his impotent rage.
Could it be that they were truly going to be stuck with locked zones and slowly tortured to death like this!?
"After Submarineoid conducts battle, it changes to Defense Position."
[Submarineoid, ATK 800 → DEF 1800]
"And with that, my turn ends."
Yusaku Fujiki made a "please" gesture again.
Come on, it's your turn again. Take your time, no rush.
We have all the time in the world to play Yu-Gi-Oh.
