The "Spider Monster" in the darkness lay prone behind a rock, peeking out with lingering fear.
They shouldn't be chasing me anymore, right?
Kohara's voice came through his earpiece: "Looks like we shook them off."
"Y-yeah, scared me to death," Beauregard panted.
"Damn it, it was Yusaku Fujiki wearing the Blue Uniform," Kohara gritted his teeth through the earpiece.
To use such entrapment tactics, how despicable!
Fortunately, Beauregard ran fast.
However, before he could even let out a sigh of relief, a devilish voice echoed in his ears once more.
"Hiding in a place like this, huh?"
Both of them shuddered, a chill running down their spines.
It was that person!
They stiffly turned their heads. The demon from Ra Yellow Dorm had somehow caught up, standing leisurely behind them, with a chilling smile.
"Just a heads-up, but running won't do any good," Yusaku Fujiki chuckled.
The opponents didn't seem to possess enough Spirit Affinity talent.
So they didn't notice that Silent Magician was already standing on top of the rock where they were hiding, tilting its head and looking at them.
Although Yusaku Fujiki was following unhurriedly behind, being targeted by spirits, they naturally had no way to escape.
Before them was a dead end; it seemed they had nowhere left to retreat.
"What do we do?" Beauregard asked nervously through his headset.
"Uh, then we just have to fight," Kohara gritted through his headset. "It's okay, Beauregard, our cooperation is invincible. So far, even students from Obelisk Blue have been defeated by us.
Perfect, let's test our limits today."
So Beauregard took a deep breath, stood up, and said, "Alright, let's do it. Let them know how powerful our combination is."

Beauregard: "My turn, Draw!"
Kohara's command immediately came through the earpiece: "Summon 'Giant Orc'!"
So Beauregard said, "Summon 'Giant Orc'!"
A burly beastman holding a bone appeared on the field, its massive body a weave of hard rock and steel-like muscles, its eyes burning red, and sharp fangs protruding from its tightly closed mouth, answering the summon.

Beauregard wasn't very good at real combat, so he was basically a puppet. The one truly Dueling was Kohara behind the scenes.
"Then Special Summon 'Gilasaurus'!"
This time, it was a sleek, streamlined dinosaur with smooth scales, wide paws, and long, powerful limbs.

Gilasaurus's "opponent can Summon a monster from their Graveyard" is a mandatory Trigger Effect, but the opponent has the discretion to use this effect during resolution. Even if the opponent doesn't Summon a monster, it won't affect Gilasaurus's own Special Summon.
"Direct Battle," Beauregard said. "First, 'Gilasaurus' attacks the Set monster!"
Gilasaurus charged forward with a series of stomps, roaring as it launched a fierce dinosaur collision. Yusaku Fujiki's Set monster flipped up; it was a six-armed mage, and the moment it flipped, a golden magical fluctuations erupted from its body.
"The monster you attacked is 'Magical Merchant'," Yusaku Fujiki said. "If this card is Flip Summoned, flip cards from the top of your Deck until a Spell/Trap Card is revealed.
Add the first Spell/Trap Card revealed to your hand, and send the rest to the Graveyard."
He proceeded to flip cards from the top of his Deck, flipping four monsters in a row until the fifth card revealed a Spell Card.
Spell Card "Ojamagic."
It was a bit of a shame not to flip a Pot of Greed or Dark Hole, but this was acceptable too.
"Then, I add 'Ojamagic' to my hand."
The Spell Card was added to his hand, and the charging dinosaur crashed into the small Magical Merchant, sending it tumbling. The latter promptly disappeared in a shower of light.
"Then, Giant Orc's Direct Attack!" Beauregard commanded.
Taking the lead, they would inflict massive damage on the first turn. Their cooperative Duels had been victorious for the past two days, building their confidence.
"Then, by discarding one card from my hand, I activate this Trap Card!"
Yusaku Fujiki discarded a card from his hand to the Graveyard, and the Set Card immediately flipped.
"Trap Card—Karma Cut!"
The Beauregard duo were both startled.
They remembered this powerful Trap Card; it was a well-known Banished Red Trap.
"Discard 1 card from your hand; banish 1 monster your opponent controls, and all cards with the same name as it from their Graveyard.
Banish 'Giant Orc' from the game!"
The Trap Card activated, and a transparent wave enveloped the burly beastman, who was swinging a bone, attempting to attack. The beastman was then sucked into a dimensional vortex, disappearing from the field.
"Furthermore, the card I just discarded was 'Ojamagic'," Yusaku Fujiki said. "If 'Ojamagic' is sent to the Graveyard, add one 'Ojama Green', 'Ojama Yellow', and 'Ojama Black' from your Deck to your hand."
Three cards automatically popped out from his Deck and were drawn into his hand one by one. The Deck was then automatically shuffled by the Duel Disk.
"Damn it, we were ambushed by a Trap Card," Kohara said grimly. "Then let's just leave it at that."
Beauregard nodded, accepting the instruction: "End Turn."
"Then it's my turn, Draw."
Yusaku Fujiki calmly revealed another card from his hand.
"First, I activate the Spell Card 'Cards of Adversity' (Original Card). If your opponent controls a Special Summoned monster and you control no monsters, Draw 2 cards.
'Gilasaurus,' a Special Summoned monster, is on your field, and I control no monsters, so I Draw 2 cards."
Yusaku Fujiki drew two cards, then revealed another card from his hand.
"Then I activate this—
—Continuous Spell Card 'Ground Collapse'!"
The solid ground before Beauregard immediately cracked like a shattered mirror, deep, bottomless fissures appearing as if a monstrous maw had opened. The ground rumbled and sank, and two corresponding Monster Zones shattered.
"What?" Kohara frowned.
"Ground Collapse allows you to designate two of your opponent's Monster Zones as unusable."
Monster Zone Seal?
Kohara had an ominous premonition.
"Then, I activate the Spell Card 'Polymerization'."
Yusaku Fujiki simultaneously drew the three cards he had searched for last turn.
"I Fusion Summon using 'Ojama Yellow,' 'Ojama Green,' and 'Ojama Black' as Fusion Materials, Triple Fusion Summon—"
Three colored lights swirled into the Fusion vortex, and a burst of intense light erupted. Subsequently, a powerful arm and a colossal head appeared against the incandescent background, forming a burly figure that seemed to exude "harmony" from every angle.
"Ojama King, Summon!"
