Kaelith quickly averted his gaze from the other side of the room and walked briskly to the lady he had already spotted. Her head was popping out from a room within the office, and he walked towards her.
"Come in, Mr. Kaelith. I've seriously been waiting for you," Miss Cecilia said, her tone warm and expectant.
"Oh…" That was all Kaelith could muster. Firstly, he certainly didn't know what he was doing. He had never tried to get a job before, so this was all new to him. And not to forget, Leonhardt. The very one he had just seen.
If he had been about fifty percent nervous before, now he was a solid one hundred percent, especially since he didn't know whether Leonhardt had seen him or not.
'His back was turned to me, so he shouldn't have seen me, right?' he pondered, his teeth tugging at his lower lip as he sat before Cecilia. 'Unless he has eyes at the back of his head…'
"Mr. Kaelith, are you alright?" the voice of the lady before him snapped him out of his thoughts.
