Chapter 256: Domain Unleashed, Angelic Judgment (Part 2)

With the Blood Red Nine Headed Bat King forcibly expelled, Tang Chen's bodily balance was destroyed. Though he regained his mind, his body was now riddled with injuries, disqualifying him from continuing his divine trial.

In Seagod Island's assessments, failure in a common test would simply result in expulsion. However, for a god's successor, failure left no escape death was the only outcome. The Shura God, sensing Tang Chen's failure, intended to shift focus to Tang San for the next succession trial, only to realize the unique dilemma Tang Chen was in.

Ordinarily, the Shura God wouldn't care about a mortal's survival. Yet, realizing Tang Chen's current opponent was the Angel God's successor his own eternal rival he grew intrigued. The vast gap in power between them tempted him to test the Angel heir's strength and potentially eliminate her, ensuring his realm's dominance. The Shura God had planned to have Tang San eventually eradicate the Angel legacy and dismantle the Spirit Hall, but now Tang Chen had encountered the Angel God's chosen heir first.

Attempting to empower Tang Chen, the Shura God channeled his divine energy within him. However, as he prepared to further intervene, the Shura God sensed an unforeseen complication a third presence in the area, none other than the Seagod's successor, Ye Wen. Even more concerning, Ye Wen was aware of him, smirking in his direction. The Shura God withdrew cautiously, muttering in irritation, "Seagod, meddling here as always."

The Shura God reined in his frustration, knowing a direct conflict over a second tier god would hardly be worth the risk of breaking the fragile balance in the Divine Realm. Besides, under his godly scrutiny, he noticed Qianqian's divine essence was not of the original Angel God, alleviating any immediate conflict. Still, he resented the divine elegance she projected.

Meanwhile, the battle between Tang Chen and Qianqian raged fiercely, with each blow leveling vast swathes of ground. Even with the Shura God's power bolstering him, Tang Chen fought an arduous fight. Seizing a momentary respite, he shouted again, "Little girl, let's call a truce! Continuing this only brings ruin for us both."

His intent was not solely survival. Tang Chen knew his remaining time was short. He wished to spend his final days seeking his lost love, not wasting away in a battle with the successor of an old rival's bloodline.

For Qianqian, frustration brewed beneath her calm exterior. Despite her advantage in raw power, this battle was proving far more taxing than anticipated. Self doubt momentarily clouded her, but she quickly glanced over to Ye Wen, searching for reassurance.

Understanding the situation, Ye Wen suppressed a pang of concern. Qianqian couldn't be faulted for struggling here the Shura God's might was far above that of the Angel God, especially at the god king level, enough to diminish the gap between her and Tang Chen.

Her brief distraction gave Tang Chen an opening. He seized it, hurling her backward with a powerful strike from his Clear Sky Hammer. Ye Wen instinctively darted forward, deftly catching her and cushioning the fall to prevent further injury.

"Are you alright, Qianqian?" he asked, gently smoothing her hair before quickly withdrawing his hand, mindful of the boundaries between them now that she was no longer a child.

Qianqian flushed slightly, both from the warmth of his gesture and from the sting of her frustration. She nodded, determined, avoiding Ye Wen's gaze out of shame.

As Tang Chen sensed his advantage, he believed he could now shatter the Liuhe Sealing Array. Summoning his last reserves, he prepared to escape. Noticing this, Qianqian attempted to intercept him, but Ye Wen laid a steadying hand on her shoulder.

"I've got this," he said with quiet assurance. "I won't let your target escape."

"Alright," she replied, her heart fluttering at his confidence.

With Tang Chen nearly at the barrier's edge, Ye Wen calmly activated his divine technique. "Spatial Replacement," he declared, snapping his fingers.

Instantly, Tang Chen reappeared at their starting point, mere steps away from Ye Wen and Qianqian. Sensing the shift, Tang Chen's battle instincts kicked in, his form tense, but the sudden spatial manipulation left him awestruck.

Though spatial manipulation was considered one of the seven core elements, few could harness it, and Tang Chen had never encountered it in this form. Confronted with an opponent wielding such mastery, he despaired. Acknowledging that escape was impossible, he steeled himself for a final stand.

"Kill!" he roared, activating his fearsome Killing God Domain, layered with his exclusive Clear Sky Domain. Determined to go down fighting, he prepared to unleash everything in a final blaze.

Overwhelmed by his murderous aura, Qianqian felt her stance falter. Ye Wen leaned over and gently encouraged her, "Fight without holding back, Qianqian. There's no need for restraint; we're beyond the days of hiding our power."

Encouraged, she launched herself at Tang Chen, unleashing her own domain in response. "Angel Domain!"

In Douluo Continent, domains primarily enhanced one's own powers or suppressed the enemy's. The only counter to a domain was another domain. In the clash, crimson and golden energies collided violently as Tang Chen and Qianqian fought with a relentless intensity.
