Chapter 82 - Soul Fragment

Not long after flying, a sacred and mysterious voice echoed in my ears: "The land of longing is reached in an instant; the way back lies in your heart." I was utterly confused, but suddenly it clicked—the mysterious voice was telling me to use teleportation! I had completely forgotten about this skill I already knew. But I had no idea how far this place was from the Demon Realm, and I wasn't sure if I could manage a long-distance teleportation. Still, I decided to give it a try. I pictured the Demon Realm in my mind, recalling the place where I had fought, and then activated my magic to teleport. As my body turned into specks of light and vanished, I instantly reappeared in the Demon Realm—it actually worked!Looking at the familiar surroundings, this was indeed the place where I had battled the Blood Demon not long ago. But everyone else was gone, leaving only traces of the fight. I didn't have time to dwell on it. I quickly took out the detection lens given to me by the priest. How do I use this thing? I studied it carefully, holding it up like a magnifying glass and looking around. Then, not far away, I spotted a fragment glowing with white light on the ground. I hurried over to pick it up—it was definitely the fragment, Enis's soul. I carefully placed it in a bag and hid it safely before continuing to explore the area.As I explored, I noticed a weapon in the distance. Curiosity drew me closer, and as I approached, I recognized it as the Blood Demon's enchanted sword. I had suffered greatly at the hands of this blade before, but now its master was gone. I slowly picked it up. The blood-red blade gleamed with a chilling, menacing aura. Surprisingly, there was no resistance when I touched it. "This sword will be mine from now on," I said, storing it in my magic pouch. After thoroughly searching the battle area, I found a few more fragments. I tried piecing them together, and they formed something like a glowing orb. But after counting, I realized I was still missing two fragments. Where could the remaining two be? After a long, fruitless search, I started to panic, unsure of what to do.Holding the incomplete orb in my hands, it felt like I was holding Enis herself. "Darling, where are your other soul fragments? Can you guide me to them?" I muttered to the orb. Suddenly, as if responding to my words, the orb lit up like a television, projecting a familiar scene inside it. Wasn't this the courtyard? I understood! I quickly teleported back to the courtyard. In my world, the souls of the departed return to their homes on the seventh day to visit. It seemed Enis had returned to her place of longing as well. I pulled out the detection lens and searched the entire courtyard. I scoured the rose garden but found nothing. I moved on to the farm, searching tirelessly, but still no trace. Refusing to give up, I returned to the house and continued my search. When I reached the kitchen, I used the lens and spotted a shimmering object on the counter. Excited, I rushed over—it was indeed one of the fragments. I glanced at the time; it was right around mealtime. Even with her soul shattered, Enis hadn't forgotten to prepare a meal for me. Holding the fragment, tears welled up in my eyes. "Darling…" I sobbed, continuing my search for the final piece.I meticulously searched every corner of the house, including Enis's bedroom, but found nothing. Frustrated, I absentmindedly pushed open the door to my own room. The moment I used the detection lens, I saw the last fragment glowing on the bed. "Darling!" I screamed, racing over like a bolt of lightning. I couldn't believe the final piece was here. Carefully, I picked it up and completed the soul orb by piecing all the fragments together. The orb was now whole, radiating a faint white glow in my hands. I gently stored it and walked out of the house. Before leaving, I glanced back at the home filled with precious memories. "Darling, just wait a little longer. I'm going to find the Divine Lord to revive you." With that, I teleported toward the Divine Realm.
