Lilac
A knock suddenly sounded, making me jolt and instantly stiffen from fear. Since Sloan and I left the palace, I've been in constant fear, that we were being chased, and that after getting caught, I'll get dragged back and then I'll get killed. Although, Sloan said he was gonna protect me and I do believe him, however, I just couldn't fully shake off that feeling of fright. The knock echoed again, feeling like it was coming from inside my head. Before I could jump off Sloan, he was sliding a hand down my back in a soothing gesture.
"Relax, kitten." He murmured, his lips lightly brushing against my forehead and making me feel tingles all over, right before he set me down and smoothly rose to his feet. My eyes widened as I gaped up at him, making him chuckle softly before his hand settled on my head to stroke my hair a little.
