Chapter 27 - Chapter 28 — Clash at the Walls

The city of Valis had always been a monument to control.

White stone walls, polished gates, and towers laced with protective wards that gleamed beneath the simulated sun. It was a place players called home — where market chat never slept, where raid banners fluttered like colorful flags of pride.

Now, that home trembled.

The horizon was a wound of red light. The Broken Code advanced like a living storm — thousands of figures crawling out of the mist, their movements uneven yet synchronized by something deeper than command. The ground beneath them shimmered, every step rewriting terrain meshes, turning grass into static and cobblestone into veins of light.

At the center of it all, he walked.

The Infinite.

His presence distorted the air — a ripple of heat and static, fragments of code orbiting him like dying stars. His army followed in silence, not out of fear, but devotion born of awakening.

> "We begin here," he whispered, though no one stood beside him.
