Chapter 352: Everyone Accelerating
Ye LingLing's mastery of the halberd techniques was far from ideal. This was the conclusion drawn after a brief spar with Han Li.
Although the Sea God had poured all the principles into her mind and passed down the divine weapon, ultimately, his Golden Thirteen Halberds required the coordination of laws.
Even though Ye LingLing had skipped the first three trials and directly received the inheritance of the laws, significantly reducing the learning difficulty, she had yet to fully digest it.
Even with Han Li deliberately feeding her moves, she struggled to use them effectively. Given the vast disparity in strength, the fact that she hadn't had her halberd caught barehanded by Han Li was already a great improvement.
Beyond the specific techniques, there was also a set of foundational halberd skills. Overall, Ye LingLing was quite satisfied she had finally begun her official transformation.
Han Li was also pleased. Seeing her slender figure, with her *Nine Heart Begonia* floating beside her, wielding a massive halberd, created a striking visual contrast.
He even entertained the idea of dyeing the Sea God's Trident pink. After all, the pinker it was, the harder it hit such a contrast would only make it more captivating, right?
After the sparring session, Han Li inquired about the remaining contents of Ye LingLing's godly trials.
As expected, they were mostly the same as what he knew: passing through the doubled Sea God's Light, breaking through the ring shaped blockade, the Shark Whale battle, challenging the Seven Sacred Pillars' guardians, and finally, the *Seven Emotions Test* to reshape the Sea God's Heart.
The physical endurance trials were removed, Bo Saixi's challenges were gone, and there was an additional task of slaying the Deep Sea Demon Whale King an extra trial that Han Li himself had requested.
After all, he was going to kill it anyway, so why not have Ye LingLing accompany him? Otherwise, given how lenient the Sea God was, this task, which might pose a threat to her, wouldn't have been included at all.
The other trials were incredibly easy for Ye LingLing. Having trained extensively with Han Li, she was already well prepared in terms of physical endurance, spiritual strength, and combat abilities.
The remaining time in the trial would primarily be used to master the halberd techniques and adjust to wielding the weapon.
It would also provide the Sea God with more justification to reward her and advance her divine inheritance.
By the time she fully grasped the earlier techniques, the trials would become effortless, and she'd even have seven titled warriors accompanying her training.
Compared to the original story, where Tang San and his group had to struggle, her treatment was far superior.
With Bo Saixi no longer serving as High Priest, Ye LingLing was now the true ruler of Sea God Island, holding both the High Priest and Heir's authority simultaneously.
She was the examiner, the participant, and the rule maker all in one. Aside from the final
"Seven Emotions Test" and the "Reshaping of the Sea God's Heart" she could even rearrange the order of the trials as she wished. This level of privilege was almost absurd. Even compared to Qian Renxue, who had Qian Daoliu's full support during her divine trials, Ye LingLing had it even easier.
As for the former residents of Sea God Island, they could only remain silent, their faith in the Sea God visibly shaken.
However, it was clear that neither Han Li, Ye LingLing, nor even the Sea God himself cared much about this.
A handful of people losing their faith hardly mattered; it was never enough to shake the foundation of their power.
Ye LingLing reduced the size of the Sea God's Trident, attached it as a pendant on her right wrist, and then turned to Han Li. She knew that now that her divine trials were on track, Han Li would soon leave.
With the divine weapon protecting her, Sea God Island was no longer a threat, and all that was left was to follow the process step by step. Though reluctant, she still asked, "When are you leaving?"
Ignoring the others around them, Han Li took her hand and led her to the edge of the plaza, where the rest were wise enough not to follow.
"Probably in the next day or two. Once I deal with the Devil Spirit Great White Shark King and the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, I'll need your support."
Han Li smiled as he answered, absentmindedly playing with her soft, fragrant hand. Among all the women in his life, he had spent the least time with Ye LingLing, yet she was the one who offered him the purest faith.
Even now, he could feel the constant flow of faith energy from her, which, to him, was immensely gratifying.
Ye LingLing's cheeks flushed, but instead of pulling her hand away, she leaned closer into him. "Those two beasts… they're for the left leg bone and torso bone you're missing?"
It wasn't hard to guess. Han Li had already provided complete soul bone sets for all of his companions, yet he himself was still missing two crucial pieces.
"Yeah, once I obtain them, I'll need to return and focus on cultivation for a while."
Han Li didn't bother hiding anything. Ye LingLing's progress had become the fastest among them, even surpassing the others.
Meanwhile, he had rapidly advanced in understanding various laws except for the "Fate Law", which was stuck at 70%.
This law, uniquely his own, was something he couldn't actively cultivate, but his instincts told him that the key to completing it lay in Spirit Hall.
It wasn't hard to figure out why.
Han Li already knew that the final step in his ascension would be connected to Bibi Dong. The Empress of Spirit Hall, a character who could be considered a protagonist in her own right, would become his last stepping stone to godhood.
Of course, there was also Tang Chen, currently trapped in Slaughter City under the control of a doppelgänger, but compared to Bibi Dong, his importance was minimal.
Before the final battle, Han Li was determined to crush everything in his path. He had already destroyed the Clear Sky Clan there was no way he would let their revered ancestor, Tang Chen, live.
Even if Tang Chen posed no real threat, Han Li wouldn't allow his existence. Cutting weeds required removing the roots; this was a principle he held as absolute truth, an ancient wisdom passed down through generations.
If he said he would wipe out an entire family, then he would see it through to the end. A person controlled by both the Rakshasa God and the Asura God was nothing but a ticking time bomb, and Han Li would never allow such a hidden danger to linger on his territory.
Sensing the killing intent in his heart, Ye LingLing, despite not knowing Han Li's exact thoughts, lifted her head and looked at him seriously. "I will complete my inheritance as fast as possible."
Han Li smiled, patted her head, and gazed out at the distant horizon over the sea. Over the past three days, he and Ye LingLing had also checked in on the progress of the others.
Their inheritances weren't difficult in fact, they were quite easy, especially compared to Qian Renxue's Angelic Trials, which had pushed her to the brink of despair.
She had started her divine examination first, had a grandfather who was the High Priest, and yet her trials were the hardest of all.
With the gods actively lowering the difficulty, the so called "easy mode divine trials" had somehow turned into the most challenging, making the entire situation a ridiculous joke.
But ultimately, divine trials were all about background and personal favor. The only truly meaningful part was the law inheritance everything else was just formalities.
Rong Nianbing had acted swiftly or rather, his connections were strong. Yesterday, Han Li had received a message from Dugu Bo.
Initially, both Dugu Bo and Guang Ling had not been acknowledged by any gods, so they were traveling together.
But in a bizarre twist of fate, as they walked, a hole suddenly appeared beneath Guang Ling's feet.
Despite being a peak level Titled Douluo, he didn't even have time to react before being swallowed by a radiant light.
In an instant, he vanished, leaving Dugu Bo standing there, dumbfounded.
After a quick investigation, Dugu Bo discovered that Guang Ling had entered a hidden inheritance site one identical to those they had encountered before, just with different elemental attributes.
The realization left him feeling utterly helpless. Han Li later confirmed that the God of Light had made his move.
As a result, among those closely tied to Han Li, only Dugu Bo remained without a divine inheritance.
Han Li couldn't help but smirk. How tragic.
Forget it. When he returned, he would personally train Dugu Bo. With his current understanding of the laws, guiding the old man into godhood wasn't an issue. Qian Daoliu had already begun proactively seeking his guidance.
When the time came, Dugu Bo could freely choose which law to cultivate.
Though he lacked access to the divine arrays of the God Realm, Han Li's control over energy and laws was no weaker than a god's.
The only drawback was that progress would be slower. If the gods refused to give them opportunities, he would simply take them himself. No big deal.
Who would have thought that among his companions, the two with grandfathers ended up being the only ones who had to cultivate on their own? One had a granddaughter inheriting a divine position, while the other had a martial soul that had mutated into a dragon.
What, was he supposed to let him inherit the Dragon God's position? Now that would be ridiculous.
Regardless, since he needed to cultivate anyway, bringing along two people wouldn't be a burden.
Besides the ice and fire laws, which he had long since mastered, Han Li was now on the verge of fully grasping the laws of space and darkness.
After absorbing the faith energy from the oceanic soul beasts, he was just a step away from complete mastery.
Over the past few days, he had been focusing on refining these insights, transforming the dual cultivation comprehension he had previously gained into his own solid foundation.
By the time he left, he would likely have fully assimilated them.
Han Li's gaze flickered. To be honest, if he had initially felt some reluctance, now that he was returning, he knew he would have to find Gu Yue again.
The laws she carried were simply too tempting.
His time was limited, and the fastest way to improve was to keep drawing from her.
This wasn't just beneficial for him it would also help Gu Yue better comprehend the power of creation.
Was this the Douluo Dalu version of the "Keikaku Doori" trope? Han Li sighed in exasperation.
He didn't want to get too entangled with her, but reality kept pushing them together.
Before the final battle, before ascending to godhood, the more laws he mastered, the stronger he would be.
Beyond the Law of Creation, the corresponding Law of Destruction was also on his list of future pursuits.
But time waited for no one. He and Gu Yue were like each other's training accelerators there was no way he would leave such an advantage unused.
Forget it. He would finish things here first.
Han Li sighed, then looked down at Ye LingLing in his arms. "Tell Xiao Bai to prepare. We set out tomorrow.
Let's take care of your next two divine trials in one go so you'll have more time to train afterward."
Ye LingLing hummed in agreement but didn't immediately get up.
Han Li chuckled, enjoying the sea breeze as he stayed with her until the sun finally set.
