Chapter 132: Bing'er Returns Home, Saint Son Han Li, and the Sudden Awakening of the Plane's Consciousness

Today's outing was finally concluded. But as they looked at the devastated landscape before them along with the massive commotion they had caused the group exchanged glances.

Although this location was secluded, it was still near Spirit City, making it likely that someone would come to investigate.

So, Qing Luan stepped forward and used wind blades to plow through the surrounding ground once more. Guang Ling immediately understood his intention and fired a few arrows, creating the illusion that the destruction was caused by their sparring match.

After a series of coordinated actions, the valley was completely erased, buried under the collapsed mountains. The surrounding forest was also affected trees were shredded by wind blades, and the ground was littered with craters from explosive arrows, effectively covering all traces of their previous battle.

With that done, the group headed back to the city, where they encountered Spirit Hall personnel who had come to investigate. Guang Ling casually explained that it was merely a spar between him and Qing Luan before they continued on their way.

As for whether those people would conduct a more thorough investigation, or simply return after hearing their explanation that wasn't their problem. They had already given an answer, whether others believed it or not was irrelevant to them.

Back in Spirit City…

Over the next few days, Han Li, Dugu Yan, and Shui Bing'er continued training their Martial Soul Fusion Techniques.

Once they could enter synchronization with ease, making the process no different from regular cultivation, Han Li finally shifted his focus to his other pending matters.

There were two major issues before him:

First, Shui Bing'er had to return home and obtain her second spirit ring.

Since she had only recently become a disciple, Spirit City didn't yet have a suitable spirit beast for her. However, they had received intelligence that a 4,000 year old Frozen Water Feathergale had appeared in the Icebound Forest, making it an ideal choice for her second spirit ring.

The problem was that her physical constitution wasn't yet strong enough. So, over the past few days, Han Li had been helping her refine whale gelatin, accelerating her body's enhancement.

Second, the Martial Soul Fusion Technique research.

Upon returning, Han Li immediately reported his findings to the Elder Hall and even demonstrated the fusion technique alongside the two girls.

And that's where his headaches began because Qian Daoliu himself sought him out.

They both knew where this Martial Soul Fusion Technique would be most valuable the Angel Corps.

After all, that army was filled with Seraphim Martial Souls, all of whom were devout followers of the Angel God.

However, both Han Li and Qian Daoliu understood that Han Li could not spend extended periods training them.

For one, this was his prime cultivation period, and wasting that time would be foolish.

For another, the Angel Corps was the personal military of the Qian Family, making it inappropriate for Han Li to interfere. This was very different from him winning over the Elder Hall.

Thus, after teaching them the basics, Han Li swiftly backed out.

And from that brief experience, Han Li deeply realized one thing not everyone is equally talented. Even with hands on guidance, some of the Spirit Sages in the Angel Corps kept making mistakes.

Clearly, talent and intelligence weren't always correlated.

So, now he was biting down on a pen, wracking his brain to simplify the process into a three step training manual. Something even the blindly devout soldiers could follow without thinking too hard.

Meanwhile, regarding his suspicions about the Dai Family of Star Luo, Guang Ling informed him that Qian Daoliu had already sent investigators to quietly gather intel. They simply needed to wait for the results.

Half a Month Later…

With Shui Bing'er's body having reached its current limit, Qing Luan took her to the Icebound Forest.

And Han Li?

He finally finished writing his illustrated, step by step training manual, and dumped it on the Angel Corps, leaving them to train themselves.

Just as he finally breathed a sigh of relief, Guang Ling rushed back from the Elder Hall, beaming with excitement.

The moment he stepped inside, the first thing he said was

"Han Li, it's official! You're now the Saint Son of Spirit Hall! Three days from now, your new title will be known across the entire continent!"

"…There's not some ridiculous ceremony, is there? Also, what exactly was announced?"

Han Li instinctively asked.

"Relax. The ceremony is simple it's an internal event, not public. You just show up, go through the formalities, and that's it."

"As for your public information, given your age, they only released your name and your Martial Soul: Iceflame Divine Dragon Bow. No portraits were released, so you don't have to worry."

Guang Ling smirked, amused by Han Li's cautious reaction.

Though Han Li had chosen to step into the spotlight, Guang Ling knew his temperament so he had already handled everything for him.

"Oh, that's good."

Han Li let out a relieved sigh. He had no interest in being treated like some rare panda every time he stepped outside.

"By the way, guess who's crowning you? Our dear Pope herself~"

Guang Ling grinned, clearly enjoying himself.

"Doesn't matter. With so many people watching, if she tries to embarrass me, she'll be the one who loses face."

Han Li remained unfazed.

"Tsk, you're no fun to tease."

Guang Ling clicked his tongue, pouting.

"Alright, I've given you the news get ready. I've got things to do, so I'll be heading out."

"Oh, and don't start training yet. Someone's coming soon to take your measurements for ceremonial robes."

Guang Ling had almost left, but turned back to add that final reminder.

Three Days Later…

The day of the Saint Son's Coronation arrived.

Guang Ling inspected Han Li, who was now dressed in ornate platinum ceremonial robes, with his hair neatly styled.

"Not bad! You actually look the part."

Han Li, helpless, glanced at him and said, "Let's just get going, Master."

"Alright, alright. In just a few hours, I'll have to start calling you **'His Highness, the Saint Son'~"

Guang Ling chuckled, leading the way.

Han Li shook his head, ignoring his teasing. He turned to the two girls beside him.

"Let's go."

Outside the Pope's Palace…

The plaza was packed.

Almost every member of Spirit Hall's elite forces was present, except for those on duty.

Among the lower ranks, many were whispering speculating what major announcement was about to be made.

But the high ranking members, already aware, remained silent, merely waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Then, the gates of the Pope's Palace slowly opened.

A procession of twelve Red robed Cardinals stepped out, forming two symmetrical lines.

"The Pope arrives!"

At that moment, silence fell over the entire plaza, as everyone bowed in unison and chanted

"Greetings, Your Holiness!"

As they lifted their heads, they noticed something unusual.

Today, following behind Pope Bibi Dong, there were no Titled Douluo guards.

Instead there was a young man with a refined, jade like face.

Bibi Dong's cold gaze swept over the crowd.

With spirit power amplification, her voice echoed throughout the plaza

"By the unanimous decree of the Pope's Palace and the Elder Hall, from this day forward, Han Li is Spirit Hall's Saint Son."

Then, she took the platinum crown, placed it upon Han Li's head and the ceremony was complete.
